The software for the 3 series is different to the 7 series. The 3 series can't talk on learning software, only beep.

@websurf90 that true, but in 2006 Sony had financial troubles, making them have to discontinue several products in order to stay in business, including the AIBO entertainment robot

On the Mind 2 software the Aibo will only speak tonal language but when running on Mind 3 software he will speak English and a bit of Spanish. You can get Mind 3 in Japanese also. Hope this helps :)

Where do you get the mind stuff anyway and how do you use them?

It depends what model they are. If you buy an ERS 7 Mind 2 he will come with a Mind 2 Memory stick. You can upgrade to Mind 3 which is another Memory stick that replaces the old one and you can swap them at any time if you fancy a change. The last ERS 7 Champagne came Mind 3 as standard.

yeah m3's say that i used to have one but had to sell him to partly pay for my new car...i miss him
