Ok, first off I am a long time Ultraman fan. When TIGA was announced as coming over here and being dubbed., I was apprehensive. Turned out I was right, the English dubbing was pitiful. Minimal attempt at actual translation and more like dubbing in bad English full of lame and immature jokes. You can get the Tiga series on DVD from Amazon and it is subtitled, the english dub audio is REMOVED and good riddance to it. Also the Tiga series dubbing only went for half the series then it was stopped

i liked more the original opening, and the original song, the english dub sounded retarded... as allways does when they dub japanese movies or series, the spanish dub was a lil better but i liked more to watch it on its original language with subs

Unfortunately for fans of the English 4kids dub, due to the huge backlash against the dubbed version, they only released the entire uncut Japanese series on DVD with English subtitles, with no dub in sight. Not sure if the dub was crap or not but they pretty much aborted it. However, this was the only show 4Kids have ever dubbed that was released unadulterated by the " terrible' dub which turned it into a joke.

Now f they'd only done it for the Sentai and Rider series....

I can't speak for all those series, but Power Rangers became what it is due to them not thinking they could market an explicitly Japanese show to Americans. After that, it became such a hit that they kept doing Power Rangers with the blessings of the creators of the Sentai series.

I've found 1/2 of JETMAN English dubbed but does anyone know where we can get JETMAN #21-24,27-51 with English dub? Or does anyone have that English dub of TURBORANGERS? It was shown in parts of Canada shortly before Saban created POWER RANGERS! But what I'd like to know is, was the English dub of TURBORANGERS made in Asia like the English dub of JETMAN , FLASHMAN & BIOMAN was?

@VonAndrew22 true it is a better opening song, but you have to take into account that the Japanese musical group wasn't singing in English, and probably would have been an undertaking to get it for "English audiences", so the most plausible way to do it is introduce a new song in the predominant language for tv airing. Just simpler and less fuss. The English theme is an okay theme. It captures a lot of the Ultra fighting spirit. :)

Kinda weird how she then did the voice of the main lead from Dinosaur King, if that's the case. But hey, she went on to do GaoGaiGar with great justice, so that more than makes up for any career mistake in anyone's life.
