  • What I love most about this movie. It managed to incorporate emotion. Emotion is the one thing that artists strive to mix with their chosen craft. It very rarely takes and is often just forced onto us in pathetic or insulting ways. Cloud had a profound effect on my when I first saw this movie back in '96. It was one of those pieces of art that speaks directly to you while most everyone else you show it to is deafened by shallow expectation and thus can't appreciate the power of it.

  • Loved this movie since i was 12 18 years ago when i saw it on TBS with Vampire Hunter D and i got hooked into anime snice despite i had earlier experiences with anime in the 80's with Warriors of the Wind, Little Mermaid (1975), Voltron, Thundercatsm Jack and The Beanstalk and others.

  • It would've been nice if they released a Special Edition DVD with featurettes on this. I would so buy it!

  • @mrgreenranger They did, in Japan.

  • Indeed fans of anime (or animation in general) should give this film a try. I love it!

  • @mrgreenranger you cant say you are a fan of anime if you havent seen this

  • This is rare! The trailer doesn't do the film justice. As this is one of my favorite animated films, I encourage anyone that appreciates art, animation and music to check this film out. =)

  • @mrgreenranger I recently found a VHS copy of this great and rare anime at book and video store a year ago--and it's great! Even today's generation of anime watchers should watch this forgotten gem.
