As people have probably seen, the Wii and PS2 versions of this game are the same except commands and stuff like that. What I dont understand, however, is why the 360 version was so different from the PS2 and Wii versions.
I love both versions of this game, but I think the Wii version's Sonic levels are better to replay, whilst I only like the earlier Sonic levels on the HD version.
I'm sick of those bold ported PS2 games. When will they start to understand that the Wii is a NEXT-GEN console? Have they ever heard of games like Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3 or The Conduit? Those are some good examples of what the Wii really is capable off in its graphical department - and they didn't even reach its limit!
This is just a fast cash-in for those lazy developers, nothing else!

The game has HORRIBLY unresponsive and tricky controls (bad controls only on the wiimote & nunchuck). The game is also horribly glitchy... I would only recommend it compared to any game after Sonic Adventure 2 Battle... Which it's saying anything... because SA2B was the last GOOD Sonic game.

I agree. I couldn't care less about the story. Story is the last thing I care about in a Sonic game, if anything it just gets in the way like in Sonic Rush Adventure.
Yes, Knux and Tails did slow Sonic down in Heroes, but I rather play Heroes than SA2. The emerald hunting and shooter stages sucked more than anything else. It brought the whole game down. I admit the Sonic/Shadow missions were fun, but they made up only about 25% of the whole game. That's not enough.
SADX was better than SA2B, but I prefer Sonic Heroes to SADX for a few reasons. The world stages were annoying and pointless. It was essentially a glorified level select that slowed down the progression of the game, and made it frustrating to continue your game. You literally had to find the next zone. I never even bothered with any of the mini-missions that were in it. A straight forward level progression is all that is needed.
I liked it. I liked the fact of that because it increases the length of the game and finding the levels. Well, maybe thats just me dude. I like games that involve puzzles. Maybe ur a full head on hardcore gamer. I would assume ur expecting sonic unleashed wii more because it doesnt have hub areas. Correct?
It increased the length of the game, but it's a contrived way to do it. I rather increase the length of the game by adding more zones, or at least adding an extra act to each zone. Just one act per zone is way too short. I like puzzles too, but not like this. It just felt boring to me. I am a hardcore gamer, but I like puzzles as long as they are fun. I'm not sure if Unleashed has hub areas or not, I hope it doesn't.
and also what make sonic heroes good is that i like the fact that sega is honoring all the sonic characters by having them all play able insead of have them do nothing for once let the minner characters have a part in the game as well
with that, you have a great point. Sega did bring back all characters and I liked that... You never know man. Later I might give Sonic Heroes a good play through again and change my mind. =P
Graphics are great for wii and also the daytime stages are very good and its great there getting back to the classic roots also i like the night time satges for an added twist and the music is awesome all i have to say is sega you have made 2008-2009 the eyar of the hedgehog
The normal Sonic stuff looks FANTASTIC!!! Werehog stuff...not so much. The werehog segments don't look fast or even fun. Who knows, maybe we'll all be surprised by the werewolf half (though I doubt it). But even then, the other half of the game looks so good it's hard to really care.
i guess it was just ment to bring a new aspect into the game? I meen sonic when he is a werewolf he can run slightly fast, but like alot of fighting games it just looks like fighting armies of easy monsters... It just get's boring so i agree

after beating sonic colors, i can see that SEGA was lazy with the wii version
the wii version could have been a SD verion of the HD game, not just a PS2 game with motion controls.
dont get me wrong, i love the game, but compare it to sonic colors and then compare sonic colors to sonic unleashed HD.

first of all... Sonic was slow as shit compared to the last two sonics... The stage design sucked... The whole super thing sucked...
Being in teams was retarded... Maybe being in teams like SA2B. A character per stage...
But Knuckles and Tails together with Sonic just slowed him down causing him not to go full speed even put his hands back...

The normal Sonic stuff looks FANTASTIC!!! Werehog stuff...not so much. The werehog segments don't look fast or even fun. Who knows, maybe we'll all be surprised by the werewolf half (though I doubt it). But even then, the other half of the game looks so good it's hard to really care.

i guess it was just ment to bring a new aspect into the game? I meen sonic when he is a werewolf he can run slightly fast, but like alot of fighting games it just looks like fighting armies of easy monsters... It just get's boring so i agree

Blah, whatever, this is still going to be a good game... I hope. Seriously, if this game is fucked up, it could kill the franchise. thankfully each trailer that gets shown, that seems even less and less of a possibility. I'm definately getting this on opening day.

The best part of the Wii version is that the levels are more wider and not as narrow and close as the 360 version.

Jason is doing Sonic's voice. But you gotta admit. He sounds really good doing Sonic and Werehog. Jason does a good deep voice for werehog.
