  • Most blacks oppose gay marriage, too. Obviously, black churches won't have protestors outside. It wouldn't be politcally correct.

  • Wow. I'm not surprised that a gay mob was beating on sisters of the Church. Perdition fuels hatred and intolerance. Perdition wants God's presence completely out of the schools, out of families, and out of the world. "By their works you shall know them."

    I sincerely pray that we shall never see the day that such hate-filled people will have the power to push the love of our Heavenly Father out of our lives and families as the homosexual agenda seeks just that.

  • What is ironic with prop 8 is the voters that were mobilized for the last presidential election that the majority voted for Obama, voted in support of prop 8.

    Marriage is a civil right. And some religious organization conspired to remove that right

  • Small minded people/political groups in this country chronically fail to perceive the spirit of The Constitution. They just go straight to the letter of the law and interpret with fear and present THAT as the law of the land.

    The Constitution is not and us-and-them document! If it were, much less than 50% of U.S. citizens would have equal rights.

    It seems to me however, many religions are an us-and-them practice that they take to the public arena.

  • The Mormons and Catholics knew they were attacking a right that was already legal in California. Prop 8 removes that right. No one would be harmed by leaving it legal. Many of these loving families already have children but you don't care about them. Why is it always about sex-sex-sex with you religious people?

    You committed a shameful offense to these people that god made different and history will brand it as such.

  • I think this is a civil rights issue. The American Psychological Association endorses gay marriage. Programs like gay conversion programs have had an 88% failure rate (Shidlo \Schroeder). Churches hold "hell houses" where homosexuality is displayed as an abomination. If you understand that gay is not a choice, and that everything from Nazis killing gay people in concentration camps to random murders and beatings of gay people, then you can understand why it is so important an issue for gays.
