  • Hey man, i would love to collab with you sometime bro. I'm an instrumental guitarist from Virginia, K-Dove Rock. If your ever laying down some drum ideas send some raw to me. if your interested ill message you my email. your a very talented drummer man, mayer is one of my favs. such a layed back groove. love it

  • @kdoverock Thanks so much for your kind & encouraging accolades. I'll keep it in mind about sending you drum pattern ideas.

  • sweet cover man i decided to do this one a while back, great great song and cover. you should see this genious live, john mayer is incredible. no artist today does 10 min. guitar solos. good luck!

  • @QuiteHotBros Thanks, glad you dug it man. I've seen the Live in LA video with 3 different band configs, 1. acoustic, 2. power trio and 3. full band. John is a talent in the style of the classic rock artists. Even though I plays drums, and guitar is a 2nd instrument, my favorite instrument is the electric guitar.

  • wow, your really good, i just wish i could be ass good as you (non sacrastic)

  • @479duck thanks for listening/watching/commenting. And keep playing.

  • I agree! One can see that you really enjoy it. Awesome!

  • @niljen92 Thanks so much. Well sometimes I was smiling because of an unexpected cymbal swell...electronic drums!

  • Steve Jordan laid down a beautiful groove on this one. Great cover my friend.

  • @AngryNinja9000 Thanks so much. Yea, I dig Steve. He said that some folks think that it's not hip to play a simple groove, but that's wrong thinking. Not only may the song call for it, but it's not that easy to play simply in the pocket & in time.

  • this is good dude

  • @mgorbaty thanks. appreciate you taking the time to check it out & comment.

  • @rhythmantic no problem. i like watching others play to songs bc it helps me get better. i did this song to try out a few days ago and didn't realize that the second snare hit in every bar is a little later than normal until i saw you playing the correct way.

  • @mgorbaty Great. I'm glad this was of help to you. Yes, it's a 2 bar phrase & in the 2nd bar the snare is played on the "and" of the 4th beat instead of on the 4th beat. It's a funk beat.

  • looked like you really enjoyed playing that song. nice job.

  • @ontariodestoyer41 thank you very much. I did enjoy it and sometimes the smile was because the electronic drums can get out of my control, like a cymbal swell I didn't intend, or a hit that didn't trigger/respond correctly.
