I have the newest macbook and was worried to get microsoft office for my mac. If i get windows software on my mac, does that mean it's more susceptible to viruses?

hey i jus got the new mac office 2008 and aperently....microsoft office 2008 12.1.0 update takes really long, i left it on for liek 40 mins and only like 2% had been completed...is this normal?

No, Office 2008 for Mac can only be used for Macs, Office 2007 can be used for PC's though.

I'm still using 04...it's so slow on my Intel machine since it was designed for powerpc! I'm getting 08 for free though since I qualify for the upgrade (just purchased 04 w/ my new mac). But the version I'm getting, the Special Media Edition, is on backorder for at least another week.
