@project0omega whats not to understand its simple bardock is born and does you know his saiyan thing he goes back in time 1000 years and starts the legend he doesnt start the saiyan race or anything the legend is just passed down from chilled to the other members of his race as well through the wired creatures from planet plant you also have to remember bardock probably traveled a lot so his story spread throughout the universe until it made its way back to the saiyans

@TheMightyOzaru (continued) also from what i read the lssj could only turn ssj in oozaru form. so that would mean it wasnt bardock then. seeing as he went ssj with out becoming a oozaru and controled himself rather nicly as an ssj :) which the lssg couldnt do unless he's in oozaru form(sounds to me he skipped ssj1 all together)

What does the Daizenshuu say about Mystic Gohan's power compared to Goku's power in SS3 form?

You seem to be able to go straight to the sources and you don't talk shit,which greatly valuable.

I believe Mystic Gohan is slightly stronger than Goku SS3 and also that SS2 adult Gohan is not very much weaker than SS2 Goku or SS2 Vegeta,as some people say...but I haven't got the book with me and you do.

@anxofarmesto The Daizenshuu generally don't say things like, "This guy is stronger than that guy." It makes no comparison between "Mystic" Gohan and SSJ3 Goku at all. However, in the manga itself, Goten and Trunks agree that "Mystic" Gohan is "a bit stronger than our SSJ3 Gotenks". If you consider SSJ3 Gotenks to be more powerful than SSJ3 Goku, then that should give you your answer.

Sorry if that's not as clear cut and definitive as you'd have liked.

I hear in the main DBZ anime he didn't fight alone (as he did in the special) that in that version they had had him lead an army to fight Freiza. (Which makes no sense to me if you see the special) Any truth to this?

He didn't lead an army.

The army you see in the Anime special is Frieza's which he sent out to kill Bardock.

Though in the end they get blown up along with him.

Bardock is canon the only thing not canon is the special. At first he wasnt going to be canon but apparently AT liked the character so much he simply had to incorporate the idea into his manga which is why theres an appearence of bardock
