In this case your excessive speeding helped because there was no one behind you,you would have surly gotten hit from behind obviously you have a high performance car that can stop on the dime. The other guy by the way put his blinker on only after he stopped. with your speed you would have been at least 40% at fault and would be burned by your own video.

With this video you would have been about 40% at fault ,you were driving pretty fast and was even excelerating when the vech. in front of you was tapping his brakes,you were probably driving a bmw ,or another high perf car because you stopped pretty fast,your if you were not speeding you would have gotten hit in the ass.

As far as the other guy He never even had his blinker on till he stopped,so the lesson here is drive with the flow of traffic and watch out for anything

If you were willing to go through the trouble, some states have "citizens traffic tickets" that you can pick up and fill out at the court house. I would think you could definitely bring him to court with this video. Not sure if NY does though....plus most people would just as soon not go through the trouble since you have to show up to court as well. I read a story about a lawyer that ticketed a cop for illegal parking while he was off duty once haha
