  • And yet Usain Bolt, the fastest sprinter who ever lived, has never even touched a speed bag...go figure

  • @CaneFu imagine how fast he would be if he did use one

  • there was a longer of alan wells training, but it seems to have dissapeared! lovely chillout music too

  • Follow this training myself, up until recently I done triple jumping and sprints but I suffered a stress fracture to my foot, so I am now fully concentrating on sprints. My best for one minute on the ball is 336

  • Powderhall was an Edinburgh greyhound stadium at which the biggest professional sprint race in Britain was held every New Year. It ceased beig held at Powderhall in the early 60s (I think...) & moved to Newton Grange & then the new Meadowbank in 1970. Check the New Year Sprint site.

  • Alan Wells was originally a reasonable long jumper. He took to sprinting and surprised himself. He studied the training methods of the Powderhall sprinters, professional.sprinters in Edinburgh and the rest as they say is history. If your arms are moving then the legs will follow. Peace
