  • Okay the keyboard. on the screen what to do;

     :)

  • can we have this with mouse too? :)

  • @TheDejavu9 it has a touchpad

  • OK ... why don't u use a virtual keyboard then swap it with a fiber or any thing...

loool and that will be so much cheaper

  • or you could NOT use kryboard and be happy looool

  • Or you yould just use a waterproof keyboard.

  • Its not the keyboard that dirty its the human hands that transfer the germs to the keyboard.

SOLUTION: Keep your hands clean; soap and handsanitizer are good ways.

  • Medical gloves = problem solved :F

  • Get used to it, Germs exist. @AVangarDIsrael Doctors don't use keyboards anymore, or computers. I live in the rural south and they all have personal devices to prevent the spread of viruses. Still way cheaper than a disinfecting keyboard.

  • What a fantastic way to create superviruses!

  • Why is everybody hating on this innovation? I for one hope that libraries, hospitals, and colleges use this. Also, @turbotrauma how would you know if you got sick from the keyboard anyway? Your argument is invalid unless you're cyborg Watson with a computing system that tells you where the pathogen was in the environment when it infected you.

  • @onehumblebear It's the internet.. Full of retards

  • Clearly, this is for research and pathology labs and not your homes.

  • Lets have sanitizing door knobs, and faucets, fuck it why not have whole toilets go into a machine and get sanitized.

  • For those who are stupid enough not to buy a second keyboard for usage while washing the other one.

  • Dude... Green and orange?!

immidiately alienating 2% of the people...

  • of course it's made for lab and hospital uses only, not meant to be used like a normal keyboard..

  • @unuckfut there's at least one rich germaphobe out there going to buy this

  • does it get rid of cum splatters?

  • Seems like its only useful in a medical lab environment.

  • the best part is that you can set a password for the keyboard while Sanitizing.

you go near computer, it says:

" please enter your password for Sanitizing the Keyboard"

  • I think you're a full decade late on this one.

Desktop's are pretty much obsolete and most keyboards are touch screen or blackberry buttons these days.

  • @Rikashk Eh, no there not. Tens of millions of people use keyboards.

  • What about the mouse?

  • @Sethers198 You use the touch pad.

  • People are too freaked out over this stuff...

  • HELLO we got immune systems

  • Ladies and gentlemen, may we present to you, the most expensive thing you'll never use!

  • Waste of Money Buy a Damn Bottle of hand Sanitizer for a dollar or two

  • Just another stupid product to cater to the scared folks who watch TV.

  • Maybe you idiots are missing a valuable point: You can sanitize a keyboard, that's great, but until you also sanitize every single centimeter of communal surface in the hospital you're still never going to completely stop infections from spreading. You'll never replace a good ol' hand washin'.

I guess Vioguard can convince hospitals to buy this insanely expensive bullshit so they can then hire Vioguard to fix it when the insanely expensive bullshit stops working.

  • Good for when working with the T-Virus...

  • when he says "as simple as that" I instantly think of what Jobs would say :).

  • An idea to improve something that to be fair, didn't need improving.

  • Lol are people that lazy that they can't sanitize their hands before or after they use a keyboard? Like @turbotrauma I've worked in IT and i have a bottle of sanitizer in my office, and if i feel the need to then i use it.

  • @KudzaiS It's for hospitals, you idiot.

  • @SecondsFromFame

Lol, Idiot? Are you a child?

People in a hospital are required to sanitize before and after they enter a room. So even if they use that keyboard before they enter a patients room, they will still have to sanitize before they enter the room. That's why they have those bottle at the entrance of a room. You're probably going to say what about in an OR? Well, that thing sanitizes too slow so it won't be effective in terms of speed, and you're supposed to be clean before you go in.

  • looks kinda cheapy

  • Comment removed

  • I've been in IT for my entire career, probably touched thousands of random keyboards, never even washed my hands... never been sick from it. No thanks, I'll save the $15,000 and use a normal keyboard.

  • @turbotrauma In a hospital environment, a single case of MRSA can cost thousands and thousands of dollars to treat. An outbreak could have a monetary impact of hundreds of thousands of dollars. If a single investment in this keyboard can stop an outbreak of an infectious disease, then it would pay for itself many times over.

  • @donny0man I understand your point, but sanitizing keyboards is not going to prevent MRSA. You'd have to sanitize every damn communal surface in the hospital for this to ever be truly effective.

  • @turbotrauma Sanitizing any potential disease-carrying surface will help prevent infectious diseases. The more you sanitize, the better the prevention. Just because we can't sanitize everything doesn't mean we shouldn't try to sanitize most things.

  • @turbotrauma It is for hospitals and places where they need near 100% contamination free zones, not personal use.

  • @turbotrauma wait i've got a coupon for $5 off

  • @turbotrauma The only way you can claim that is if you haven't had a single infection since you started using a keyboard. Infections spread by computers are a big deal in hospitals.

  • @IrregularApocalypse1 what about the wheelchairs that are shared between patients? There are plenty of other areas where sanitizing is important, but just sanitizing a keyboard is NOT enough.

  • @turbotrauma granted, but this would be good for public computers such as those at a school or library

  • @turbotrauma if you've been an IT guy for ur entire career life you would have known that this kind of technology is for hospitals, labs, clinics and especially for surgical theaters.

  • @andreaszzz took the words outta my mouth...damn...

  • @turbotrauma we are running out of antibiotics and diseases are getting tougher though.

  • @turbotrauma

This is not for consumer use, this is meant to be used in hospitals. I have spent a year as a designer researching infection control in the ER environment and its a significant problem. For a healthy young chap like yourself, keyboard bacteria is nothing, for a critically ill patient, it can be life or death.

  • @Goontron like i've said countless times, sanitizing JUST a keyboard will not stop infections. If a hospital was serious about controlling bacteria, they would sanitize everything, including elevator buttons, wheelchairs, all equipment shared by patients, etc.

  • @turbotrauma considering the description mentions MRSA, I'm guessing this is intended for medical facilities where even minor contamination can be a problem

  • @turbotrauma You fucking moron, its not for everyday use, its designed for labs and medical facilities where bio hazards can be an actual threat.

  • @porridgejrjrman was the "fucking moron" part really necessary?

  • @twitcher64 It wasn't, but it wouldn't be a YouTube comment without a "fucking moron" :D

  • @turbotrauma It's not for IT people, obviously. It is clearly made for hospitals.

  • @turbotrauma This keyboard isn't really designed with IT professionals in mind. It's more for health-care workers (who do computer charting) or laboratory technicians doing pathogenic research and the like.

  • @turbotrauma its for hospitals idiot -.- if a doctor would touch a keyboard and then touch your internal organ in an operation you would get sick (maybe i did exaggerate but you got the point)

  • @turbotrauma *Sigh*...Its for your line of work you idiot...

  • @turbotrauma Its is meant to stop infections in hospitals and the like

  • @turbotrauma imagine a doctor operating u just had a MW3 session..

  • @tekkux I don't know where you live, but in my country surgeons are conpletely sterile when operating patients

  • @turbotrauma There's a cheaper way to do it anyway, and your right.

  • I wouldn't want to use that touchpad for an extended period of time.

  • thats hot especially for hospitals

  • @erv606 *only for hospitals
