Pablo Neruda...i love his poetry!

i remember reading "la tortuga" ages ago in spanish class...we weren't allowed a dictionary and we had to figure out the meaning of the poem.

Yeah it's too bad how institutions tend to teach poetry to the fragile eggshell minds of our youth... but poetry is dangerous. Questioning a poem by using ideas from the Inquisition like flaying, evisceration, gouging out 'i' -s, crucifying 't' -s, and other gruesomely torturous academically enlightened standards that suck is normal - unfortunately - but hang in there... horse beating WILL be on the exam and it will be over soon enough xD
