  • That's pretty incredible, and a bit hard to believe. I'd love to see a transition from someone who's not a beachbody coach and isn't trying to sell something.

  • @filmgirl1979 I understand how you could think this was made for some sort of gain but in the end these are my true and real results. This was all during my very first round of P90X. I have nothing to gain from short term sales but everything to gain from long term relationships; it wouldn't make business sense to try and fake it =).

  • @richard2mitchell I've seen some P90X'rs here on Youtube lost 40-60+ pounds with rock solid dedication to the workouts and nutrition. The key is, go for something! It may take longer or it may take less time but don't get discouraged. Weight loss happens with continuous effort not just 90-days.

  • @dude04345 live it up before the oil comes washing in. I live on the alabama gulf coast, and on day 5 on P90X. I have to get fit and get my ass down there soon!

  • hi hun, ime so proud of u! inspirational! i noticed ure shoulders are uneven. let me explain. ime a body worker, massage therapy is one of the modalities ime trained in. if u look at ure shoulders (basically, the 2nd head of the traps) ule noticed ure left shoulder is higher and closer to ure neck than ure rite. ure back doesnt seem to have much deviation cant tell how ure hips are. but, i advise u see a structural body worker. uve gotta keep the bod in homeostasis to avoid injury later on.

  • You are very right, it's definitely something I notice. I think it may be do to a hip injury that happened around age 14 called slipped ephemeral epithesis. End result is I have an unevenness in my hips during growth and I feel this led to a noticeable overall slant in my upper body. It's a physical deformation and not something that can be cured or changed really.

  • It's called having only 10 and 15 pound dumbells when I went through this.

    I ended up gaining 2 inches total on my arms at day 90.

    P90X Won't get you Hulk Sized - If your going just for size at the sacrifice of balanced fitness then you might be better going to the gym and pumping iron.

  • whatsup man ...i see that you have increased some size throughout your journey...i recently purchased the program and starting right away...im trying to gain muscle mass while losing the little fat that i have..what foods do you recommend to make sure i do not lose weight..things like lots of protein with low carbohydrates...or plenty of calories along with lots of protein?

  • You've got it. Higher protein meals are best. You want carbs too but you want to make sure and get around 1 gram of protein per pound you weight as the general rule of thumb. I am a "hard gainer", If I don't use it I lose it fast, with that said I need to eat a ton to build mass, I suggest low fat but high calories. I.E.if you find you require 2500 calories a day, vary your intake from 2500-3200 throughout the week.

  • @dude04345 You said that you want 1g of protein for every pound you weigh. Your body can only hold so much protein and it pisses the rest out. The body can only hold and use about 50g of protein in a day. The rest is a waste.

  • tip for taking focus take a pre workout supplement like NO xplode or Black powder, keeps energy levels up and your focus will be through the roof

  • I disagree. It's best to avoid all those supplements with the warning labels like No Xplode and all that garbage. All you need is a strong mind to get through everything. Avoid all those non FDA regulated supplements which could later be found to be harmful. The point is to get healthy and not risk it that way.

    They only work because you think they do or they are overriding the body's defenses which are not good.

  • Great job bringing it so far! You've made it past the hardest part, congrats =)

    I am currently on round 2 and ending week 3 - Going very well so far.

    As for my diet, I don't really follow the meal plan. In my P90X round 1 and now I just do my own thing. I eat very healthy though, no fast food, sugars, modified products, etc. I have a few diet evils here and there but I am mostly consistent.

    I focus on proteins mainly and just keep it clean.

  • The best way to stay focused is to stay accountable to others. Get involved in the Beachbody Community, start talking on the threads. Also this is something I played with - Write a journal entry about you being done, talk about your journey as though you are already at day 90, talk about how good you feel.

    Read this every morning and then do your workout.

    Also, take pictures often, if not daily. Give yourself a reason to keep going. If you can see results you will definitely stay on.

  • Did you do doubles or classic? I did my first day of P90X today as classic, kicked my butt.

  • Congrats on Day One! Isn't that killer!?

    I did Classic in Round one and so far have started Classic for round two. I did a week of Doubles which is pretty intense. It's Basically Classic with Cardio X added on your Resistance days.

  • The program is intense. Im enjoying Plyometrics though. Hopefully I'll improve over time and I'll be able to keep up with Tony.

    Im thinking of doing doubles for round 2 If this round doesn't kill me haha, but that is unlikely because I heard that you need to twice as much workouts a day and my schedule is too busy for that. =( But Im enjoying the program so far and Its been 4 days and im already seeing a difference.

  • Yeah good call, I am going for a little more size and ripped... A tan wouldnt hurt but that can come later :)

  • I have yet to buy P90X but will very soon. I'm skinny and have ok looking abs but i want to gain muscle mass. Are the workouts hard and if so do they get easier as you progress? Also whats your diet like? Thanks man....nice transformation :-)

  • Well when You do you will not be disappointed!

    If You eat a Large amount of good/ clean calories you will absolutely put on some muscle mass.

    Like anything the workouts do get easier with time - The idea is not to have them get easier though but to add more weight to make them challenging. Keep Yourself burning out around 8-10 Reps with good form.

    My diet is all over the place - I always eat good but some days I eat enough, other days I don't. It's a work in progress.

  • Do you need any equipment with these work outs? I have a pull up bar. But, it is in the other room.

  • You will need the following:

    Dumbbells or Bands

    -Personally I have dumbbells 2x10lbs and 2x15lbs, I combine for 2x25lbs.

    A Yoga Mat

    -I got one for $10 at WalMart

    A Chin Up bar OR you can use bands

    -I have the Iron Gym and it works great.

  • Optional Equipment:

    A fan to keep you cool

    Comfy shoes for Plyo and other jumping workouts

    Lifting gloves

    Water bottle

    etc.

  • Yea, I mean. I don't have abs or anything. I just wanna get more toned. I am not really toned so.. that's really my goal. I just don't know how the whole system works. So, i hope it at least explains what you are suppose to do? Lol.

  • Yeah it will lay it all out for you - Make sure you join WOWY and log your daily workouts! I put up a video to explain the general idea, so check that out if you have questions with WOWY.

    You will absolutely get toned with P90X, just workout every day and eat clean. That's all you have to do - Day in and Day out.

  • I just ordered mine. I should have it the 7th. Looking forward to it. Even though I in good shape I just wanna be more toned.

  • Amazing! You will love it without a doubt. If your already in shape then you should probably start with "Doubles" so you get get the most out of the program. You will certainly get more toned!

  • Yeah man I can't wait to see what happens by day 90! Thanks for your support and I will definitely take your advice - I'm actually going to start swimming 2-3k yards 2-3 times a week sometime here soon.
