If I was the head guy for NASA, I would offer this guy a free ride in one of the space shuttles or a trip to the space station. Maybe let him fly the shuttle around for a couple of hours. Or let him thow stuff out the window when he was up there, circling around the moon or the sun or whatever crap they circle around, Mars? I don't know.
This little ballon was not the only solution Nasa used like the video suggest. Nasa put a full time person up near the top of the tank with a fog horn to scare anything away.
Its not in any official report. This is what they do to this day since the bird damage. They still have the ballons and some fake owls and the person. The bird watching person sits up on the 255 ft. level with a fog horn.
Im sure they gave this guy a nice check atleast... Then again NASA is a government run program so maybe they didnt even say thanks at all!! I dont know but either way but judging by the guys reaction he probably got a nice 1/2 mill or so lol.
