Not only did he vote to fund the wars. He also kept those wars going and got us involved in two more. If he really wanted to differentiate himself from Bush or the republicans he would have ended those wars not keep funding them or asking for money. The debt ceiling. He could have signed an executive order but instead he caved to republicans. DADT he could have signed an executive order to end DADT but he even drug his feet on that too.
well... let's just see here. every one of them has access to an "EBT" card where the rest of the country pays for them to eat, and countless other programs where the rest of the country pays for the roof over their heads.
oh gee golly me... shit is just SOOOO bad, aint it!
"poverty" my ass. I wish I could get a bunch of free shit every day!
Ron Paul would be perfect but given his position with regard to a person without health insurance which could very easily be applied to the poor or the elderly who are scraping by and have no way of being able to afford health care, he does not have a chance in hell of winning the presidency...You would have to be utterly delusional and out of touch with reality to believe a charity or some church would jump in to help a sick child with treatment that could run in the hundreds of thousands.
You obviously don't have all the facts. The government and insurance companies are the main reasons healthcare is so expensive in the first place.Much like how the banks and government caused the inflation in the housing market. We wouldn't need insurance, if we had a truly free market.
Competition would drive prices down to the point everybody would just pay as they go and that would be
much easier for family, charities, churches etc. to foot the bill.
@EDTHEWATERGUY "much easier for family, charities, churches etc. to foot the bill."
this is just not realistic...if charities were as generous as Ron Paul portrays them to be, we wouldn't have millions of women, children and the elderly uninsured and health care would be a non issue...charities just don't have the funding to help the poor who can barely make ends meet stay healthy or who need treatment for something a charity could never afford to pay.
Did you even read what I said? Inflationary costs because of government and insurance involvement is the reason healthcare is so expensive.Charities, churches, friends and family etc. would have plenty of funding if the prices were not hyper inflated.Ron Paul has stated because of our current crony capitalistic system charities and others cannot help much.
@EDTHEWATERGUY "Inflationary costs because of government and insurance involvement is the reason healthcare is so expensive."
its nothing short of laughable and utterly delusional to assume that the moment Ron Paul is elected that all of a sudden the price of health care would drop to a level that even a poor person could afford...it just aint happening, and this is why Ron Paul does not have a snowballs chance in hell of getting elected.
You obviously don't understand free market economics. Can a poor person afford a computer? Can a poor person afford lasik eye surgery? Not a few years ago,but because of free market competition they can now.Healthcare will respond the same way when insurance and government are not paying the bill. When people actually care how much it costs they will look for the best deal which will drive down prices.Ron Paul doesn't have a chance if brainwashed fools like you don't start learning.
@EDTHEWATERGUY "Ron Paul doesn't have a chance if brainwashed fools like you don't start learning."
its not as black and white as some of you narrow-minded zealots think it is...if your child needs treatment for a say cancer and Ron Paul eliminated the govt health program you have depended on to keep your child healthy, Ron Paul is not going to bat an eye if your child dies...this is where Ron Paul loses the voters that would actually make running for president worth his time and effort.
Damn you have a thick skull.I told you 3 times healthcare would be cheap if free markets existed in healthcare and if there was no insurance or government meddling, period. And nobody ever gets denied care regardless if they have health insurance or not, even children with cancer. There are a number of charitable cancer hospitals, even with healthcare as expensive as it is.Ask yourself, why does healthcare cost so much in the first place? Do the research.
@EDTHEWATERGUY Healthcare is like water and air--everyone must have it for all of us to be healthy. Do you think disease cares if you have insurance. You will catch a disease from an uninsured person and you could die before the doctors even know what your fully insured ass died of. And please go to a 3rd world country and see kids with horrible deformities & diseases who are outcast from society.
@EDTHEWATERGUY your problem isn't just that you're incapable, you're more delusional than the biggest PC kool-aid drinker on the planet if you seriously believe that the price of health care will all of sudden drop take a nosedive...If Ron Paul had any sense at all, he would come up with a different strategy so that the most vulnerable AMERICANS are not affected in the process...this is why this nutcase has absolutely NO CHANCE of becoming president...sorry
The price of healthcare would not drop overnight but it would drop over time, that's why you need programs to be phased out. Lasik eye surgery has never been covered by insurance and because of free market competition it's now affordable, same for other non insurance covered medical procedures. You can't seriously think you have more wisdom than a Dr.(Paul)? Your the one who must be nuts. And by the way his poll numbers are exploding.

@MrSethAction "That's why we gotta put guns in the rich and working peoples face and make them pay for everybody!"
that's not necessary...we just need to elect a president who would be willing to stop the wars, tax appropriately, and eliminate all wasteful spending so that we have enough to take care of our own.
@chingon711 Good thing there is more than 1. I would also challenge that people would sill receive healthcare. Generally speaking they don't turn people away. The extremely small # of people who do get turned away has however seen an upswing since the increase in the power health insurance have. If we reduce regulation & reenter the free market we would lower prices. But they don't turn people away, they send you bills until you don't owe them any money.
@BillyJoe1305 "Good thing there is more than 1. I would also challenge that people would sill receive healthcare."
If this were the case, Ron Paul's friend who happen to be uninsured would still be alive today...Ron Paul couldn't find a charity willing to foot the bill to save his life.
@chingon711 I'm not sure of the story your talking about. I will say this though, they usually only turn people away for drugs, which with less interference from the FDA, & less sending the bills to uninterested parties would be cheaper. It is true that even though the # of people who are turned away is small, but growing & again I challenge that this is due to the increasing might of insurance companies through legislation.
@chingon711 If we cut the insurance companies out of the equation, yet leave the government & go with socialized healthcare we still get an increasing # of people who die due to a lack of medical care. In Chaoulli V Quebec Canada's healthcare system was declared a human rights disaster. In fact the only evidence that supports socialized healthcare is anecdotal.
@BillyJoe1305 "If we cut the insurance companies out of the equation, yet leave the government & go with socialized healthcare we still get an increasing # of people who die due to a lack of medical care."
You take care of your people until you can make things more affordable and fair...Ron Paul just wants to go cold turkey and cancel all govt funded programs leaving the poor and the elderly to fend for themselves in an economy that is supposedly rigged against them.
Since when is the Democrat Party all about "Liberal Ideals"? Same with Republicans being all about "Christian Conservatives". This a huge problem with our country, it has turned so many people off from being involved in our country because the parties have been HIJACKED by Liberals and so called "Christians" and the corporations and banks.
Cornel, you were there cheer leading Obama's election campaign and asking people to vote for him. Now, it's so unfortunate for some people when they get what they want.
If Obama actually goes offensive and gets this done and passes a plethora of bills right before his term ends I'll vote for him. If he doesn't, no way. Ron Paul has my vote because I KNOW he has Americas best interest at heart, especially the civilians.
Damn I love Cornel West! Just like I love Ron Paul! If you think Ron Paul is a corporatist you're a damn fool. Nobody has been taking it to the banksters/corporatist as much as Ron Paul! Cornel West knows that shit too!
This nigger hasn't questioned Obama's eligibility even one time and he knows obama didn't go to Columbia. In light of these facts I dont see how he feels as if blacks have any right to demand anything of obama. Obama owns the black vote. Why waste time on them?
We are long past the period where civil disobedience is of use.
Warsaw Ghetto is the only way out of this conundrum, use your bodies as weapons, and don't back down. Better to die standing, then live life on your knees.
Anyways what do they truly have when the fear is gone?
@NeutralExistence Civil Disobedience is still useful -just be creative. Like stop spending your money--we must bring down Wall Street financially. Take all your money from your 401K--before it's all gone anyway. Keep no extra money in the bank after necessities are paid. Stop paying your credit card bills--FUCK A FICO SCORE, it's all a huge fraud. We must destroy the banks and the government will follow as they are ONE!!! I also know that violence will play a big part-so "burn baby burn"
You cant bring down an establishment that has all the gold, without first removing humanity's pathetic material lust. As we currently stand I see it doing nothing but dooming us if we "bring down wall street", because its been long known that when wall street falls they are taking "America" with them. I really don't think 80%+ of "Americans" are ready for worse then the L.A. riots + country wide, no food, no water, no electricity, martial law. Its going to be ugly.

West speaks the truth. Obama has been too complacent in his dealings with wallstreet. He's escalated certain Bush policies and has kowtowed his politics to a party that shouldnt have received any type of legitimacy. He's come up short in his promises and has even gone against some that he originally completed (Iraq).
Obama's biggest fault (speaking for Liberals) is that there has been little to know leadership. If you have a belief than you fight for it. But at this point, I doubt I know them.
@jmjfanss Ron Paul is a CREATIONIST. Is that what you call reason? Type Ron Paul creationism into the search bar on youtube and see for yourself! Peace.
mark my words this good man Dr. Cornel West will vote for Obama next year. sad that he's so stuck on party line bs to vote for a fellow Doctor, Ron Paul. i agree with West on so much but Obama is never going to change back to the guy everyone voted for. Obama is a war-mongerer and a wall-street sympathizer. we have to get in Ron Paul next year or we're all going to be slaves for eternity.

Cornel, you were there cheer leading Obama's election campaign and asking people to vote for him. Now, it's so unfortunate for some people when they get what they want.
dysesthesiaAethiopi1 5 months ago

NeutralExistence 5 months ago 9
@NeutralExistence Civil Disobedience is still useful -just be creative. Like stop spending your money--we must bring down Wall Street financially. Take all your money from your 401K--before it's all gone anyway. Keep no extra money in the bank after necessities are paid. Stop paying your credit card bills--FUCK A FICO SCORE, it's all a huge fraud. We must destroy the banks and the government will follow as they are ONE!!! I also know that violence will play a big part-so "burn baby burn"

@goldengyrl2010

Can we all come together and at the very least agree that Cornel West is a fucking badass?
Farf90 5 months ago
West speaks the truth. Obama has been too complacent in his dealings with wallstreet. He's escalated certain Bush policies and has kowtowed his politics to a party that shouldnt have received any type of legitimacy. He's come up short in his promises and has even gone against some that he originally completed (Iraq).
Obama's biggest fault (speaking for Liberals) is that there has been little to know leadership. If you have a belief than you fight for it. But at this point, I doubt I know them.

mark my words this good man Dr.
