not doing right. i beleive you pick up the leg thts on the same side as the arm you grab. and you try to pull the arm down as far as you can because thats where all the leverage comes from.

actually if you do some youtube search... fireman carry can be done on the same side or opposite side. It depends on what you want to and how you want to set it up
