where did u find touchscreen drivers....!! i want to enable multitouch in windows 8 on hp dv6 3053tx .....plz mention the link ..of touchscreen drivers for windows 8 32 bit..!!!
@EvaneZCenTe Yeah I found that too. It's just a small bug that I'm sure will be fixed upon release. But the tx2 in particular...the touch screen is a little buggy to begin with. When it's in tablet mode, I have to be careful not to touch the bezel too much or else it'll start clicking randomly (false clicks as you say). When in laptop mode, touching the back of the screen will cause clicks too. Really frustrating.
Well done, though I can't manage to do the same on my tx2. It's strange but when I installed windows 8 the touchscreen was working fine, I just don't have pinch zoom and when I play the piano app, there is no multitouch, I've installed the drivers but everything is the same, no difference, the only weird thing I've noticed is that when I install the drivers as in your guide, the last one fails to install but the installation finishes up. have no idea what to do, tried reinstalling but it's same
Nice job. Just installed it on my TX2 as well. Thanks for the Driver install info. Now I need to figure out the how to make the rotate button work. (The physical button next to the screen. I believe it was controlled by the HP software).
What version are you using? x86 or x64? With developers tool? How did you installed the driver of ntrig if there is just a version for Windows 7, did you use the compatiblity mode? Thank you
@denysfformiga I downloaded and installed UniversalExtractor from legroom.net
Then I right click clicked on the driver setup program (the one you are running and getting the fatal error on) and chose Extract with Universal Extractor.
It will create a folder with the same name as the setup file, and inside that, a folder called Disk1.
I went into the Disk1 folder and ran the program called DPInst.exe which then installed the drivers.

How is the battery life?

@Randalldan The battery life on my tx2 has always been kind of poor, I would say I get about 2-3 hours.

did you install it on partition?
wich driver multitouch did you use?
thanks, and congratulations
EvaneZCenTe 5 months ago
@EvaneZCenTe I used the driver from n-trig "DuoSense_MTM_RTM_Win7_64bit_TouchSmartTX2_2.239"
I did a full install to the hard drive with no secondary partitioning or dual boot, I may set that up later.

Just one question... And how about the resolution? Is it 1280x800? Or another one? Thanks

@360MegaBits I might install it on my tx2. Is windows 8 pretty functional/bug free currently?
