how to transfer files to ipod touch:

-open i-tunes

-goto music

-drop and drag music files from explorer.

i did download total commander and t-pot.

dont know it thats needed for it to work.

i did NOT use the total commander program.

just itunes and explorer.

ahhhh wtf i cannot find the private file when iv added the plugin and everythng up to 3:30 the folders see are [ApplicationsArchives] [DCIM] [Downloads] [iTunes_Control] [Photos] [Podcasts] [PublicStaging] [Purchases] [Recordings] [Safari] (^^^All the above are folders btw) And these files down below com.apple.itdbprep.postprocess com.apple.itunes WHERE IS THE PRIVATE FOLDER????

You can use iFuntastic which has an iPhone browser included or you can SSH into your iPhone using Fugu. I've tested them both on my iMac so there should be no problems. Let me know how it works. :)

Now you need to install a plugin from Cydia...Go in there and search for afc2add and you should see all the folders and files...Let me know how it turns out

Thanks! Sorry for the time it took me to answer...But did you upload it to which folder, the one in root > private > var > stash > Themes.xxxxxx or the one in Library? Also make sure you have Winterboard installed to select the theme...

It works with Vista and also Windows 7 and I've tested them both and also the video shows a computer running Vista...

If you can't get Total Commander to recognize it use another program which is iPhoneBrowser. Give it a try :)

To transfers programs for the iPhone they need to be .deb files or otherwise you need to do it via SHH, because you need to set permissions for the transfers which is something you can't do via USB.

I think it has something to do with the way blackra1n jailbreaks your iPhone. I guess it's a different way that the one used in QuickPwn or redsnow. Blackra1n doesn't create this primary structure needed. I think it has something to do with that...

If you jailbroke your iphone using blackra1n you need to install a program from Cydia that creates thoses folders because the blackra1n jailbreak doesn't create them. Go to Cydia and search for afc2add. After having installed that app you now have acess to the folders. Hope this is of any help. :-)

There's no CD with the iPhone and it's normal that the only thing that shows up is an icon with a camera device. In my case I have that same icon too and the only folders visible through Windows Explorer are folders like 101 Apple and 102 Apple and etc. etc., folders that contain my photos. No need to worry :-)

First of all make you have the latest version of iTunes. Then for the computer to recognize your iPhone again follow these steps:

1. Power off the iPhone.

2. Close iTunes.

3. Plug iPhone in via USB.

4. Apple logo will appear for about 10 seconds, and then Power on.

5. Reopen iTunes.

After that try to transfer the files again using TotalCommander.

What do you mean by that? You place the folder with the theme in root > private > var > stash > Themes.xxxxxx and then you go to the WinterBoard and activate the theme but nothing happens? Are you sure you're placing the folder with the correct files in it?
