  • Hitchins seems to love debating

  • hitchens is so wrong the mediator owns him several times LOL!!

  • When you have no arguments you scream like Galloway. It's almost unbearable. No, it is unbearable.

  • @bertilknudsen I can't agree strongly enough.

  • I wonder if Hitchens and his supporters could know how wrong their stance was and how Galloway has been right all the time.

  • Hitchens graced the stage

Galloway shouted and relied on ad homonym attacks..... half the time he was just babbling on about Hitchens rather than the topic at hand

  • @sparkymmilarky 'hominem', not homonym'.

  • 45:35 Excellent audience reaction...

  • which goes to show neither knows what they are talking about?... although hitch is a legend!

  • pop·in·jay/ˈpäpənˌjā/

  • i will never understand athiesm, and dont want to

  • @cavhoki Its not hard to understand. Do you believe in god(s)? If so then you are not an atheist. If you don't then you are. Its that damn simple. Atheism has nothing to do with politics, what kind of food you eat, what you think about bombs, what you think about anything else. It is simply the disbelief of any god(s). If anyone tries to imply that being is an atheist is anything more they are sadly mistaken.

  • @aballsack im aware of that, i was simply off balance and having a solipsistic moment, thank you though, feel completely awake and directed, think ill have a grey goose and soda, i believe

  • all my respectful Atheists,

i am a rustic man with some clear-cut rationale? in mind? .with the grace of ALLAH i catch up things so quickly, specially the irrational part of something .i humbly say i have forte to rebut your Atheism. i have a short video (2 min) for you , a challenge based .

also, don't forget to watch my 2 hours long video on subject of Atheism in your leisure.

    /watch?v=wpwbQAWt30E (2 min)

    /watch?v=czr8QqPLzgA ( 2 hrs )

don't call me names if i disillusion you from Atheism.

  • Im quickly getting over both sides of the debate. Its a little hard to take sides when after an hour and a half of heated intellectual debate and insulting the two of them part ways to flog books. It kind of takes away the seriousness of the debate when you realise the whole reason of it was to promote a book signing. I mean both these guys have money and their books are well known, why cant they just meet and debate a serious topic without selling anything?

  • I've always been a big fan of Hitch. Seriously... I really admire the man a great deal and I usually find myself in agreement with most of his viewpoints.

But I don't think it's right for us to be so dismissive of Galloway's comments. I feel that he did indeed make some very good points. I didn't appreciate his ad hominem attacks against Hitch, but I do agree with many of his observations about the true nature of the Iraq war.

  • George Galloway comes across as an ignorant bore Hitchens expounds with facts and evidence, Galloway uses nothing but character assasination and rumors as "evidence". Why was George Galloway even asked to speak here?

  • who's Jesus?

  • @caviarrrrr A carpenter who apparently lived 2000 years ago and is worshipped by some ignorant people as the creator of the universe and all life. He cares about everything you do and can read your mind. And if he dislikes you, he will send you to hell where you will be tortured for all eternity.

  • @JulienIsACamper Dont forget he's also the son an insecure sadist who knows when you masturbate

  • @TheRhinehart86 and @caviarrrrr

And I forgot to mention that he loves us all. (Except women, homosexuals, everyone who doesn't worship him ...) But no matter what crimes you comitted, if you ask him for forgiveness, he'll let you spend eternity in heaven, wherever that is.

  • Only a REAL FOOL would claim there is no God! Man creates awesome skyscrapers, fake hearts, tunnels, vehicles etc.. If we are very imperfect then what more can God create THE UNIVERSE! You must accept Jesus Christ as your Savior to receive eternal rest in heaven! Simple! John 3:16 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him! Repent & accept Jesus Christ! Jesus Christ or HELL?!? Visit cbn. com

  • @tigersforchrist

Only a REAL FOOL would believe in something without evidence, simply because his or her parents drilled that nonsense into their heads from birth. All that you know (or think you know) about "god" was told to you by other humans. if they had never told you such things, then it's a sure bet that you would have no such beliefs. We both know that I'm right.

Learn to think for yourself. It's okay, really. Nothing bad will happen to you -- that's a promise.

  • @tigersforchrist ugh, OK. Here is my attempt to reason with you. When God says only fools claim there is no God, he also says that these people can do no good. It is a fact that us nonbelievers have contributed to the modern wonders you mention, as well as to charities and the sciences. The bible, therefore, cannot be true.

If God exists I'll find out when I die. If I'm punished for not believing in him without proof, so be it.

  • I can't get over how fickle and generally stupid the crowd seems.

  • an englishman vs a scotsman, good times.

  • @europachef can't believe I am on the side of the Englishman....

  • Hitchens used to appear to have a conscience. What happened to you, Christopher?

  • @DTK5689 he died

  • Okay lets be honest, Hitchens' political arrangement's and views are ehhh. But his Religious views are second to none.

  • 1:14:45 Galloway looks like he's about to have a meltdown.

  • Only a REAL FOOL would claim there is no God! Man creates awesome skyscrapers, fake hearts, tunnels, vehicles etc.. If we are very imperfect then what more can God create THE UNIVERSE! • @tigersforchrist Do you believe a divine entity created everything?

  • @tigersforchrist Only a fucking idiot would say there is a god. Everyone knows that the magic Panda called Klaus created us all!

  • @tigersforchrist I think Karl Benz was an atheist. You are a total tit. Even if there was a god he has not done much for the security of man has he

  • @tigersforchrist Why are religious people always terrorists, "Repent & accept Jesus Christ! Jesus Christ or HELL?!?"?

  • @pfcdecoster Ha...!!! If I'm getting your comment correct (i.e the way you meant it) I have to say that your characterization is brilliant-I really must commend you. I grew up 2nd Gen Irish-Catholic, family full of priests including Boston Cardinal Sean O'Malley. I never fit in @ Catholic school. I'm no Atheist but find Christianity repulsive. The Endless need to threaten people with hell, the so-called "fear of God" is simply vile for a "loving God." It's Terrorism indeed, sir...

  • @tigersforchrist You are a weird person. Calm down...

  • Inc USA killers + UK mps have admited and now understand this man GG has not profited from oild for food. however 1 million men women chirdren have died. thanks you neo cons + bush + blair. only idiots are who dont face the fact!

  • @philm

    FAGGOT

  • Truly an amusing debate. I enjoyed every second of it.

  • Comment removed

  • Haha, I love Galloway! Been a fan for years. Much respect.

  • Jesus Christ man stop fucking shouting!!

  • Why doesn't this video have 100 million plays!! Farcical!!

  • yes galloway is a cunt

  • Galloway destroyed all those Zionists.

  • I've always been a fan of Christopher Hitchens but I never knew just how arrogant and self-righteous he could be. I'm surprised and very disappointed.

  • @CokeSupply

I think you didn't know him all that well. He was brilliant, extremely knowledgeable, singularly eloquent but also often quite obnoxious, insulting and not afraid to use his intellect and ability to construct a convincing narrative to cherrypick the truth and even misrepresent his opponents. Despite that, I am a big fan. He is mostly right about most things and has a style and wit you just have to admire :)

  • The crowd here act appallingly. Baruch University should be ashamed of themselves. Looks to be an awful educational establishment.

  • @superstarhero10 And you would base the merits of an educational establishment on ..... the beliefs, views and opinions of the student body? Or maybe it's actual success in achieving consistantly high standards and it's reputation within the academic community. Can we indeed be sure that the audience was soley made up of individuals from the campus itself? Suffice to say, love or loathe Mr Galloway he used hard fact to expose the frailties of Hitchins political viewpoints.

  • @TheUnknownAgenda They can believe what they wish, I am not commenting on their beliefs. I am commenting on their behaviour and their obvious lack of respect for those speaking. It is not a political rally, it is a debate and it seemed to become a we-can-shout-louder-than-you competition between factions in the audience. It may not have been majority campus students but, as hosts, the buck stops with them.

  • @TheUnknownAgenda I happen to agree with Mr Hitchens that a world without Saddam Hussein is a better world, but perhaps you are a Hussein/Galloway sympathiser.

  • @superstarhero10 I agree with Hitchens as well, though the greatest enemy to the world is israel the cattle of the world, cattle should not be running the farm.

  • @superstarhero10 Then perhaps you would be in favour of deposing other tin pot tyrants around the globe whom have benefited from United States financial backing? Saddam Hussein's brutal reign was made by the USA. He worked for the CIA before be became politically prominent in Iraq. He was one of America's closet Mideast allies during the 1980s, and received substantial US military and financial aid.

  • @TheUnknownAgenda get real. when the US invaded Iraq, they found that most of the weapons used by Saddam had been purchased from Russian and France and Iraq owed most of its foreign debt to these countries, including China and Germany. "One of Americas closet allies'...what an exaggeration. .Saddam secured power through terror and intimidation, like all Fascists. His goal was a united Arab empire, which he actively sought. america, like Britain, Canada and others, thought he was secular ..

  • @TheUnknownAgenda and, at least, opposed another Islamic revolution in his country. there was no "oil deal, cui bono?"....the US has left Iraq with the people in control of the oil and pathetically and ironically, the oil contracts have gone to the fucking Russians.

How would you have dealt with Saddam?

  • @superstarhero10 The 'unknown news', though, is that at the peak of Saddam's tyranny and cruelty, the Reagan administration didn't just tolerate having Saddam in charge of Iraq, they funded and armed his regime. He was America's ally, just like several of the world's most despotic bastards are America's allies now. Remember this ..... would you shed your blood to overthrow a repressive and violent regime half a world away for a diplomatic behind the doors oil deal? "cui bono"

  • And the standing ovation goes to? George completley outclassed Hitchens on all aspects of this debate. It's sad to see Hitchens so uncomfortable and to loose the audience in such spectacular fashion.

  • @TheUnknownAgenda Populism does not equate to being right.

  • People with the least to say say it loudly. Galloway never had any credibility, so his words are as effective as a chocolate teapot.

  • Time proved that Galloway was right! I like Hitchens too but Galloway's words became reality! Only hypocrites can't see this! And one more thing, when these two good speakers were debating, in Iraq and Afghanistan innocent were murdered! And are murdered even today! Iraq is a mess and this is because of USA! Is simple!

  • @ANashuu Better a free mess than what it was under Saddam Hussein.

  • @superstarhero10 Only a freak can make such a statement! During Saddam didn't die 655.000 irakis! During US invasion YES! You are a scum to humanity!

  • @ANashuu be careful, it's not just because of the US. Different groups of Muslims have been bombing each other for centuries. The US gave/sold weapons to Iraq/Afgans to fight their neighbors

  • @TommoCW1 There was no bombing in Iraq during Saddam Hussein! Stop bullshitting, is useless, you don't full no one!

  • @ANashuu He was gassing people! He would also arrest anyone that spoke out against him and kill them in public while he made their families watch, and cheer. Put your Quran down and read something with some truth in it, then maybe you wont sound like an ignorant moron. Also, sorry that I misrepresented the situation before, I meant to say they were slaughtering each other for centuries.

  • @TommoCW1 Why don't you leave the comfort of your home, and speak out against the U.S. government. I guarantee you that you will be beaten and/or jailed by the police. Face it, the US is far from a democracy... actually it's become quite fascist.

  • Christopher Hitchens was a rare treasure, the likes of which we may not get to see again for several lifetimes. His only failing was his ties to communism. If it wasn't for that, he'd be a secular saint.

  • Galloway supporters: that the Iraq War has been "adjudged" is an unconvincing argument to end on, and tells you all you need to know about Galloway's escapism and yourselves. Hitchens is right to denounce Blair's and Bush's fear campaign (if we call it that) because though it handicaps his position, it fortifies the integrity of his argument. On a side note, Baruch college should be embarrassed by the individuals in the audience; the behavior was revolting and pathetic.

  • Hitchens was always spot on regarding religion. But when it comes to geo-politics, he talks like a propagandists for the Zionist / Bush-ism lobby. Complete fail Hitchens. Go Galloway

  • 45.45. The best deserved 'Fuck you' I've ever heard from Hitchens.

  • George Galloway Owned Hitchens

  • This debate is only interesting as a study of the absurdity of war retoric. They both seem surprisingly blind of the crimes of their own "side" of the conflict. The only right side of the Iraq war was the unarmed civilians.

  • funniest debate ever. they're both great.

  • Hitchens is a flip flopping pen for hire quaky with unrivalled moral elasticity.

While George, even if you disagree with on a given issue, you can not help but respect him for he never wavered on his principles.

You can always know where stand on the issues before even hearing him.

I am certain he is against Assad,s bloody actions, but he will also be against foreign meddling in Syria.

  • two words big brother.........all credibility gone

  • @numkie First we call out israel an deal with them, LOOK NOW the cattle, also known as israel is destroying the world. Cattle should not be running the farm.

  • @numkie Galloway did not profit from oil for food. Watch his testimony before a US Senate committee investigating oil for food. They had nothing on him and he made the committee look like fools. Supposed documents incriminating Galloway (where this rhetoric derives) have been proven false after an extensive investigation by his own government.

  • @numkie that's simply not true. The only people who profited from the oil for food program were the war mongers.

  • it's a DOUBLE-STANDARD society

  • I get the strange feeling that these two don't like each other...

  • PS post Hitch - George Galloway obviously missed Hitchens take on the Spinoza principle (well, last chance - then why not repent (lie). Say (your!) God is real - Hitchens claims he lived a life HONESTLY and that he could look god in the eye, unlike most half-hearted 'pretenders' - that NOTHING earthly convinced him, especially not hand-me-down human emissaries like priests or galloway.. The most secret, fearful primates belief have - in my opinion, galloway shows YET again vanity not sanity.

  • ps - they should have executed said kotb in 1966 and this may all have not been so bloody....

  • I wish I could be tactful like Hitch.

    Sadly I can't.

    Galloway is a fucking Pig.

  • Hitchens delivers yet again in this debate from 2005. His opponent, the outspoken Galloway, resorts to character assassination and personal attacks. Be warned: It gets quite heated after the 1hr mark, although I must say the ease at which Hitchens brushes off these attacks gives me more respect for him and his argument. By the way Hitchens has been proved right here: in 2012 we can see first hand the effect of toppling the saddam govt has had: the Arab spring

  • I don't understand why people use the changing of one's mind as an argument against one's position. A person who maintains his position regardless of the introduction of new evidence is far more untrustworthy than the person who constantly re-evaluates, reconsiders, and then forms a position based on the best evidence. That is how we progress.

  • @Dobermonster Oh, get real. Jumping from being anti-war unwilling to endorse propaganda for an unjust war where thousands will be slaughtered for either a lie or for oppressive ulterior motives (or both) to pro-war can hardly be considered "progress." WAKE THE HELL UP.

  • @Yrhp8268 Perhaps you misunderstand. Mr. Galloway frequently used the "You changed your mind, so that means you are untrustworthy" tactic to punctuate his argument and win audience approval. My point was that altering an opinion is not justification for a charge of moral ineptitude. The examination of motivation and of the evidence behind the opinion is.

  • @Dobermonster Well said Sir!

  • @Dobermonster Well put. The problem IMO is a nuanced, one which in our age of "Coke Vs. Pepsi" Ignorant Gutter-Culture seems beyond public discourse today. The quote "The less a man knows, the more sure he is that he knows everything" seems quite apt. To me, it's one thing to stand firm for the sake of one's principle, & to do so with a mind to one's credibility-which also means the character to admit when you're wrong. The horror today is the demagogues for whom facts are threats.

  • Hitchins really irritated me in this debate and nearer the end I almost couldn't listen to him as he was so totally wrong. Its was palatable. Galloway does shout but its the shout that comes from passion and indignation and the security of knowing what you are shouting about is right. I find him totally passionate and thoroughly informed and correct. Hitchens was very weak because truth and right were not with him.

  • @sharonmyk

im with hitch on everything except iraq

he does that cos he fears islamic takeover of other countries which he's right if you know history but bombing isnt the answer - education is

he was wrong there and i think it was a strategic move to support any start against religion - he wants the islamic religious world gone and i understand that

  • @timewilltell7 some people just cant be bargained with. I dont know much about the war but I feel safe saying if we went in it was probably for good reason. Hitchens traveled all over the world including Iraq and Im sure what he saw would put nightmares into our heads for years: the dehumanizing of woman, rape, torture, sado-masichism, among other things. It's another world out there that can only be imagined by us.

  • @SkyFortStudios

Facts, not propaganda: Actually under Saddam Hussien who was secularist, Iraq liberated & empowered women; He eradicating illiteracy from Iraq & the UN recognized offiicially, check it; Iraqis were one of the most educated in Arab

His record is way better than the Saudis, America Clossest Arab ally

He horribly gassed his own people, Kurds; but America gave him the Gas & kept supporting him

Iraq war was not about any of above, it was an “israeil” war by America

  • @arraba99 I didn't know any of this. ty. I'll have to look this up.

  • @SkyFortStudios click my icon & watch adam curtis 'the power of nightmares' a 3 part 60 year history of the calamitous rise of 'islamic jihad'. The ONLY disagreement I (would have LOVED to have asked Christopher, - is the anti (pro-christian mythology) put forward by Leo Strauss - moral leader of the neo-cons & (i'm not impressed by - Paul Wolfowitz) - I would LOVE to see if he was aware of some of Michael Ledeen & Cheneys pre 2001 plans - but see TED - Thomas Barnett for a way to solve this.

  • @arraba99 You make true statements. I read up on how America basically gave him the go ahead for invading Kuwait in order to get the money they promised and kept funding those who needed it. We didn't want a war to start. Nothing is black and white but looking at his wrap-sheet and how he ruled with an iron fist, killing and torturing all those who opposed him. The only conclusion one can come up with is he was no good and should not be regarded as such.

  • @SkyFortStudios

All Arab regimes are NOT good, they are corrupt; waste their countries money mindlessly. They keep their people deliberately backward, unemployed & crushed for easier control

Surprisingly, Saddam was not the worst of them. Saudi Arabia & Egypt were worse, but are USA puppet regimes & no threat to “israel” power

My point Iraq war was not about Sadam’s record; he did his deeds while a US ally. “israel” wanted Iraq destroyed to keep balance of power in their favor

  • @arraba99

Hitchens - God is dead .... G-d: HITCHENS IS DEAD !!!

  • 35:24 George Galloway shown to be an opportunistic hypocrite.

  • This whole debate is full of adhom bombs. Can't look past that on either side.

  • @trentstrong Doesn't that make it more entertaining?

  • Gotta love the lack of intellect. Hitchens says what he has to say, so good ole Galloway shouts on the mic. Thats not being right man, thats being childish.

  • R.I.P. Mr. Hitchens and as Mr. Galloway said after you left us, he hopes that you have now found that God is good and is also forgiving.

  • @sharonmyk He actually said "great & merciful".

  • @arraba99 You are correct sir, Hitchins is totally out of his depth. The powwer of truth is a marvellous thing. @Tudor198 if only you could express yourself like Hitchins. He would not appreciate such foul support.

  • Go on George!

  • Hitchens is clearly out of his debth.

He has no backbone, flip flopping and pandering to Bush ...etc.

    What a loser.

I am sure he is at a loss to explain his idiocy now!

  • @arraba99 Firstly shit for brains, he accomplished more in his short life than you will ever in yours even if you live 200 years.

Out of 7 billion people he was in the top 10 of most intellectual people on this planet.

You are an Idiot, You are a loser. Shut the fuck up and stop bashing on great people just because you wont accomplish a fraction of what they were able to accomplish.

  • @arraba99 Wait, you believe in Creationism but expect people to respect what you have to say?

  • @Maddolis

They do not have to accept what I or anyone says, but respect what other believes.

    Quran on other faits:

Ch. (109): “ SAY: " (1)O you who deny the truth [Allah]!, (2) and neither do you worship that which I worship!, (3) And I will not worship ~hat which you have [ever] worshipped, (4) and neither will you [ever] worship that which I worship, (5) Unto you, your moral law, and unto me, mine.

Problem with West/Muslims is that of exploitation & natural resistance to it.

  • @arraba99 FIRST of all- the quran was originally written down on scraps of...anything really- in Arabic based on "memory" from a select group of people who I'm SO ENTIRELY CERTAIN did not twist words or add words or forget things and then change the story up much like when you play the game "telephone".

The quran is the LAST book in the world to be treated as having any sort of authority whatsoever.

    g'day.

  • @arraba99 No, you're already wrong with your first sentence. I'll respect what other people believe if they believe it in the privacy of their own mind- when you say that Hitchens is intellectually mediocre, that "chimps" are a "falsely claimed ancestry" and pulled your whole '10th graders are more intellectually stimulating than your typical atheist' remark, there's absolutely zero chance of me respecting your beliefs and attitude.

  • @Maddolis

I agree with you, faith/believe is a private matter! Do not shove your belief/disbelief in my face and I will not

My remarks were directed to @Tudor198; look up the foul language he used, for no reason other than disagreeing with me. I do not use profanity, so I respond as you have seen

Remarks about Atheists: I dialogued with 20-30, except for (3) they quickly resort to childish vulgarity & four letter words. It became boring & disappointing. Hence, the statement you saw

  • Wow, George Galloway is a fucking scum bag and so are the audience. Cheering on insults rather than trying to actually debate.

  • @OshiSeven i agree - click my icon and subscribe & vibe.... a fellow free thinker I see! I would say hitchens will be remembered for a 1000 years. in word, deed and prophetic words of wisdom. fact.

  • @OshiSeven You must be an American. How else can such a stupid comment be made by you?

  • @OshiSeven ad hominem

  • @xxmdogxx1ify1 That is called an argument from fallacy.I never commented on the actual arguments themselves, just the people, nor am I apart of the debate so you can shove your attempt at an "intellectual" argument.

  • @OshiSeven Maybe they were just agreeing with him? Just throwing it out there as a possibility o.0

  • @CokeSupply Cheering and applauding when he called Hitchens a slug? They're welcome to agree with that, I'll still call them scum for being so childish I was actually embarrassed for them.

  • For anyone doubting what a total fascist loving cunt Galloway is, look at his support for Assad and Ahmadinejad in their crushing (read murdering) of any opposition. Galloway make a pretty good living from a TV company owned and run by a state that hangs homosexuals. Galloway flaunts his left wing credentials but is in reality anything but. The regimes in Iran, Iraq and Syria systematically murdered communists, trades unionists and gays yet Galloway is/was a friend of all three.

  • deep respect for HItchens de-mystification of mother Theresa, but here he is exposed as a total sell-out...

  • @maelstone What "de-mystification"? Go ask someone in Calcutta or India how they feel about Mother Teresa.

  • @H1TMANactual Calcutta is in India.

  • @H1TMANactual - not the Indians i was thinking off, but the western media by whom she is, like dalai lama, treated like a saint...credit for that to Hitchens...but in this video he is a sell-out...

  • Galloway smashed him.

  • Jesus! What a great debate!! I thought those two blokes were gonna start 'a brawlin'.

  • Hitchens is an opportunist who flips flopped on principles (not just issues) for personal interest & benefits. He became a gun for hire! to do so he had to have an elastic conscience the intellectual dishonesty to support his moral contradictions. That is a major problem.

As for Galloway, even if you disagree with him, he has been consistent on his principles and applied them to the issues of the day. Was against Sadam when he gassed Kurds but with Iraq when foreigners attacked it.

  • Comment removed

  • Galloway is a fascist-loving guttersnipe cunt who does and has sucked up to any and every totalitarian mass murderer he can ingratiate himself with

  • @fujigerry Could you please clarify your opinion? What do you really think of him?

  • No intellectual apart from Chomsky has asserted so much with evidence as Christopher Hitchens has, to those who say his a war monger or throw callous remarks towards him show a great ignorance on the work he has done during his long and fulfilled lifetime. He has been from Iraq to Nicaragua and back and seen and written about it all first hand. So don't sit there telling us, those who know best that he is this or that and that George Galloway knows more than him.

  • as for those who believe Galloway is telling the truth in regards to his 'not meeting Aziz or infact Hussein take this photo and be silent with it because I do not know on what grounds anyone will defend this photo from 1994..after the war and after that genocides campaigns of the late 80s against the Kurdish population...the photo is available on google images..just type 'galloway aziz'

  • @20hawkar10 Amen brother.

  • @20hawkar10 Chomsky? Evidence? HA. Like the mass empirical evidence he has provided for anarcho-socialism?

  • @20hawkar10

click my icon - i think you'll like - subscribe & vibe fellow free thinker!!! see also Thomas Barnett on TED for a way the US army could do this sh!t better - where I think we all agree - the devil is in the detail.... subscribe & vibe!

  • @20hawkar10 i agree - click my icon and subscribe & vibe.... a fellow free thinker I see! I would say though - he is 10x more powerful than chomsky - who is like a slightly stale and impassable guardian - hitchens will be remembered for a 1000 years. fact.

  • @20hawkar10 Can you actually point out what references Hitchens gives? Galloway has done nothing but quoted references for every point he's made. If you have any problems with him, go verify everything he's said

  • Comment removed

  • Hitchens is right on religion, Galloway is right on Iraq.

  • @MegaChairmanMao - Galloway is NOT right on Iraq

  • Comment removed

  • More like the biggest pissing contest on who can slur who the most.

I respect hitchens but this seemed more to be about attacking each others characters. Though gallaway seemed to want to incite the crowd more than anything.

  • I have oft respected Hitchens' intellect, however.....interesting, that @3:35 he makes points of international law, by which, in fact clearly implicate and condemn both U.S.A. and Britain among other terrorist states (including Iraq). He seems to blatantly supports a rather gross hypocrisy. Which suggests to me that he is racist and highly ignorant, and a propagandist.

  • @MrDaemonB What racism?

Guess ad hominem (insulting) never proved anything against the accused (in this case, Hitchens) only against the accuser...

  • hitchens changed his mind as events and political opinions were unfolded, i dont see how he can be blamed, galloway deserves nothing but shit all over him.

  • @scratchbang That's because Hitchens was a man of evidence, more evidence comes in and breaks down his claims, he learns and moves on.

  • The country was the most divided at this point in time, as you can tell by the audience.

  • It appears that the Wikileaks Pentagon info proved Hitchens was wrong about the estimates of Iraqi deaths.

  • There are a lot of Hitchens dick riders in the comments here. Sure Galloway is a terrorist apologist who has sucked every dictator's dick across the middle east, but Hitchens sure got called out and owned here for his countless flip flops. I never knew about them until I watched this video.

  • @H1TMANactual Amazing how no one saw flip flops in this video.
