  • nice video

  • just tell me plz... what u did in 09:11

  • @adham123ize If you look at the left side of the Refine Edge menu there's a brush icon. When you select that brush, you can brush/paint over the edges of the hair to help mask it better. From there, just tweak the settings like shown to refine it better.

  • Thanks for this. I've used your guide to help me outline a dog. Looks really good but when I come to drag and drop the image into a new image in the same way you moved Trixten it doesn't appear. Please could you advise what I may have done, or not done as it's driving me crazy!!!

  • cool !! bro

  • Great Video but what or how I need to see if there is a way say I have a picture of tall grass and put it over another picture so it looks like they are standing behind the grass and it covers part of their faces or hands or etc. any help would be appreciated...............thanks

  • ThanQ Bro

  • When I go to click and drag image, it only shows the background image, not the cut out image on top of the background layer ?

  • thank you so much..great vid!...u told all the details and everything perfectly.. tnx :)

  • This was very informative and fun to watch

  • 24 People don't have Central Heating :/ or rooms...

  • nice intro

  • what do you use to record?

  • @zVariix

I know, he use camtasia studio

  • great tutorial :D

  • just curious here... lez say you have a photo with 2 people in it. You want to clip 1 of them out as you have in this video but theres a problem. the person you want to keep is partially covered by the other so when you clip him out he's missing an arm. would any of these tools help fill back in something that big thats missing like you did with the refine edge?

  • @kilrinstinct That's something you'd have to do either RIGHT before or after you've finished cutting the person out. You'd want to try to recreate the missing part of the person's arm using tools like the Clone Tool, Patch Tool, or maybe even the Healing Tool. It'd be tricky, but it's doable.

  • @ChChCheckItsClan just tell me plz in 9:11 just what u did

  • who are those guys in the pic

  • intro is too long,.

  • Really nice tutorial u just have one more Subscribe :)

  • Great tutorial thanx..and talking helps..better than having a song blasting during the tutorial..great stuff!!

  • Wow, such a tool.

  • I'm a CS5 and PS noob in general. This was very helpful. I didn't have any problems, but I have one question (noob question). How do you quickly zoom/zoom on the fly? I figure Ctrl + MOUSE3 would do it, but it doesn't. Thanks.

  • @IIFROSTFIREII CTRL and + or -

  • and it. is freaking hot in my room. lmaoo, im just like you :D

  • Hye you guys im about to start online classes for graphic design im just learning the basic stuff! THANKS ALOT FOR THIS.. QUESTION THO.. DO YOU KNOW WHERE I CAN GET REALLY COOL FONTS FOR PHOTOSHOP?

  • Thanks for preparing this clip!

  • Thanks!

  • Jesus...I would have used the quick selection tool/magic wand to work around the person taking out the old background keeping all of the hair, shoe laces, sleeves all the details that are around the person then i would have cut out the old background bypassing the person completely. As for the details within the shoe laces I would have used the quick select tool or most likely the magic wand, after that i would have used the magic eraser tool to erase the unwanted area, after that i would cut/paste

  • Thanks, this is an awesome tutorial I really like how you went so much in detail

  • send me the link to download it

  • thanks man, this is such a great help

  • too much trolling by the video maker thumbs down from me bye not watching trolls talking shit.

  • @GigglingGirI LOL thanks <3

  • @GigglingGirI teehee don't be silly

  • I have a Tiny Problem plz Help!!...When i alt+click the eye icon like you do in 15:23 and it removes the backround 1st i cannot see the line you say which line im able to see when the backround is ON and 2nd When i try to use my brush tool to erase the line which i cant see so i just try to erase it randomly and when i do that the only thing that My brush tool is doing is that it is Re-showing the previous backround of the photo instead of erasing the line...PLZ HELP

  • @MrNousmeister1 That's normal for it to be harder to see once the background is turned off. It's a really thin line, so having a background behind it makes it easier to see =) and when you're trying to get rid of that line, make sure that your Foreground Color is set to black. The reason your brush is bringing the background back is because your Foreground Color is still white =)

  • @ChChCheckItsClan Thanks a lots Mate i fixed it :) and i also liked the video :D Keep up the good work and keep making more videos cause this one was Brilliant...Thanks, Cheers!

  • your like the only one with this ! !Thanks !

  • Nice Job Man! I actually learnt somthing today

  • Great tutorial, I love the detailed explanation about selecting the image you want to subtract, never even considered the polygonal lasso tool !!! I normally just use the lasso tool LOL, great job !

  • Hey everytime I try to mask it keeps masking out to the edge. Is there any way to prevent this?

  • @aerith4zack You brush tool probably has the hardness set to 100%. To fix that, select your brush tool and right-click somewhere in the document. Then in the menu that pops up, set the hardness to 0% and hit enter. There you go! =)

  • sub or die?????????

  • how do we do it if we wanted to make other things look like trexten, like with the same light? the opposite of burn tool

  • @TheGawhisper That wholly depends on the picture you're using. You just gotta use the different tools and adjustment layers available to make the changes you feel are necessary. If you need different contrasting, mess with the Levels or Curves. If you need to lighten up a certain area, use the Dodge tool. If you need to darken certain areas, use the Burn tool. If you need different coloring, use Hue/Saturation or a Photo Filter. It's knowing things like that that'll help you achieve your goal =)

  • @ChChCheckItsClan thank you, love all of your tutorials, they've helped a lot, keep doing a good job

  • Dude 25 fuckin minutes!!! the tut was good nd all but you should do less talking and get straight to the point.

  • okkkk

  • ok screw the green :P

you are so good... you helped me a lot...

  • i ahve pdf text file i want to add a picture background to it using photoshop how do i do that

  • Excelente Informacion

    Excellent information

  • You could use refine edge tool at the end for the hair and smaller details...

  • One thing to add is that when after using the Quick Selection Tool, I then use the "Quick Mask Tool" to go in depth with what I want in and out in terms of masking. That usually helps just to pass along to everyone. Thanks.

  • Why don't you just use pictures of yourself in the videos? Do you film all the stuff for the band and how long have you known Eli?

  • @ireviewapple4you I've known Eli for years!! And I don't use pictures of myself, cause I'm the one taking the pictures =P and yes, I've helped film most of the footage for the band. I also helped with some editing as well.

  • @ChChCheckItsClan WOW!! You really are AMAZING with Photoshop!! Thank you so very much for this awesome tutorial!! It helped me figure out my problems I was having with ease!! THANK YOU!!!

  • @TheNicoRose You're very welcome!!!! =D

  • the quick selection tool does exist in cs3 i use it all the time. btw whats the difference of the cs4 or cs3 selection tool from the cs5 selection tool?

  • @zITZDATBOIz I believe they just improved how accurate it is. I could be wrong, though xD

  • @ChChCheckItsClan ohh w/e i just downloaded cs5 cus the tutorial didnt work for cs3 lol hmm

  • i better subscribe. i dont want to test fate.

  • Are you in the picture?

  • @ireviewapple4you No. Brandon isn't in the Band. Eli is on the left, Trexten in the middle and Leup on the right.

  • Sweet!

  • It was worth every second watching this video.

Who do not like this urgently to uninstall Photoshop!

  • my room gets ridiculously cold...

  • Did he jump without touching the snow?.. I don't see no footsteps

  • @DoOLceCaBlaNa Ok then?.....

  • your tutorials are AMAZING! <33

  • thank you!!

  • i wanne sugest 1 thing (might take a bit more editting): whenever you say like alt+shift+L or somehing like the right bracket key can you like put a picture of those keys on the screen? that would be awsome it might take alot of editing.

  • can you do a tutorial on printing finished product, epecially focusing on non-distructive and distructive application to a project..... what's the diffrence ??????????? Thank You

  • The music you use doesn't match your take-your-time/relaxed way of explaining at all I really don't like it.

  • @jeffo0o I like the music, personally. It mixes things up a bit, and keeps fast-forward sections interesting. I guess you're just not into that kinda music in general?

  • @ChChCheckItsClan Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy that kind of music. It just doesn't match the (photoshop)tutorial-genre in my opinion. But hey, that still doesn't make it a bad tut. I knew how to do this before btw, but decided to have a look anyway just for shits 'n giggles. You gave me a few new cool ideas and ways to improve, thanks for that!

  • @jeffo0o Yeah, that was something I was trying to do too. Make it so that everyone learns something new, even people who know how to do this already. Glad that, in the end, you enjoyed the tut =)

  • 42 likes, 0 dislikes :D:D:D:D:D:D
