  • Urdu is an Indian language adopted by Pakistan as their national language.

  • Urdu is bullshit .. the pakistani national anthem is in urdu which is a completely different language from this HINDI song.

To the pakis and the paki-by-soul Indians, your (pakistani) national anthem is in the latrine language of urdu .. which is a far cry from the beauty of Indian Hindi songs.

  • @realityindian Shut the fuck up. no one cares.

  • @realityindian lol at ur stupidity...! Pakistan national anthem is a mixture of many other languages including farsi and arabic as well. not get a life and get lost

    gay hind

  • @noman2735 LOL! A mixture of arabic and persian is exactly the shitty language of urdu -- a mixture of two pieces of shit. .... now go and clean osama's poop in in A-BUTT-a-BAD ...

  • @Juggernautishere Ha! ha! ha! I'm not even Pakistani!!!! You sound so ignorant presuming I'm Pakistani. You don't have to be a Pakistani to be Muslim. For your information - I'm Indian.

  • @sanamo86

me too. great! trillion likes ...

  • @Juggernautishere meaning?

  • Nice song but stupid comments...

  • Urdu and Hindi are sister languages... They both originated from Sanskrit which by far is known to be the oldest written language. Ancient Mesopotamia also had a language which if dated dates to the same time as Sanskrit. Tamil is the next but cannot be dated. But Dravidians are known to share their people with ancient Mesopotamia.

  • @vineetiyer urdu has some similarity to hindi but is NOT a sister language....and is mostly derived from Persian, not Sanskrit..

anyway at least you admitting to this being an Urdu song, albeit indirectly..

  • @141cbc for ur kind info when i learnt urdu from a maulana i was told that the structure of this language is from hindi and sanskrit. 60% of language is from hindi and sanskrit specially the structural part, 25% is from Arabic mostly the glossary and vocabulary, 10% is from Persian specially the way of writing and the way of speaking and receiting and 5% is from Turkish coz when the language was made Turks were ruling india. so would u still say it is not a sister language of hindi?

  • @gasperagacy kaunse maulana? what a maulana says is not gospel. There is massive prevalence of persian too in Urdu by the way...so much so that when in london used to talk to my friend in Urdu in the company of his turk girlfriend, she used to understand majority of what was being talked about..

  • i have a huge girl crush on bipasha she's gorgeous

  • heavily borrowed from folk songs of uttar pardes ;)

  • LOL loser pakis here too.... they always have to prove their presence else nobody cares ROFL..... stop comparing urself to india.... ur just as big as one state in india LOL

  • @fallschirmjaeger1 you are an utterly deluded idiot..hahahaha....ullu k patthe ho bewakoof insaan! hahahaha.....tell me a single place where i compared Pakistan to india.....wait....hahahahha....you are such a blind loser....andhay ho tum.....hohohohoh....gadhay ho khotay ho....tell me ONE place where comparison was done....now why are you agape? hahahaha....actually get lost U bloody fool :)

  • the losers here are those guys who argue about frickin languages when people are trying to enjoy a song.

seriously, if you want to rant about a certain reliigon, language, or country, go do it somewhere else.

don't ruin someone else's pleasure with ur immature comments.

  • Othello :)

  • Is there any way to block these Hindi/urdu comments below and only view relevant comments about the song only

  • This is an amazing song, I don't care which language it s. All I can say is GULZAR ji, Well done!

  • Lot of words sounds Gujrati !

  • Download SavitaBhabhi's all new episode's from Savitabhabhi.co.cc

  • Stop it already... Just how does Pakistan "own" Urdu??? You people are laughable.

And very few people in India speak "pure" Hindi anyway.

This squabbling is so childish, though I don't know why it surprises me.... Finding examples of human idiocy at its worst is easy, just go on Youtube and read the comments to any video... every language benefits and becomes richer by borrowing from its neighbours...

  • @lazycamel lemme tell you "how"....because Urdu is the language evolved by Indian Muslims pre-partition and hence easily absorbed as our national language....derived mainly from Persian and also written in Persian script. We own Urdu along with our Indian Muslim fraternity. now the fact is even hindus are head over heels about it does not take away the fact that it is a Muslim language and hence the desperate chagrin from facsist Hindu organisations against its prevalence in India..

  • Lol Pakistan and India fight like Dwarves and Elves. Not even, we're worse. Can't you all stfu for like 6 minutes just to enjoy the song? If you have a fucking problem with Indians speaking a little Urdu then go tell it to their faces and don't ruin the song for the rest of us. It's an AWESOME song so again please shut your ass up and enjoy the music, kay thanks.

  • @swordebrithil12 yah its an awesome Urdu song! thanks for acknowledging..

  • @141cbc I know I'm Paki and I speak Urdu and I have no problem with Indians speaking it. :-)

  • @swordebrithil12 not a problem with them speaking it, but a lot of convoluted denial in them in refusing to admit that they are speaking and using indeed URDU and not Hindi :)

  • @141cbc That's a different matter then. Don't know why they wouldn't admit it, there's really no harm in saying that you're speaking another language. They use English all the time and have no problem admitting it, nor do Americans/British in allowing them to.

  • This is Meerathi Language in this film my place if you can understsnd without special attantion I swear you are master.

  • WHO CARES WHAT LANGUAGE OR DIALECT IS BIPASHA BASU VIVEK OBEROI AND SAIF ARE SO GOOD AND THE MUSIC IS JUST FANTASTIC THAT I ALWAYS HAVE TO GET UP AND DANCE AND IAM NOT INDIAN OR PAKISTANI BUT AUSTRALIAN JUST BE HAPPY

  • I'm obsessed with this song. I need help!!!!

  • Funny how the ratio of men to women is like 300:1. Like in most Indian clubs :P

And guys, please, shut the fuck up. No one gives a shit what language the song is in. It just goes to show why your life is such a shithole - you spend it having useless arguments with stranger on YouTube. If you really want to make a change, do something in the REAL world. Idiots.

  • I don't care what language this song is because it is such an awesome song no matter what language it is sung in. Always makes me want to dance. Also great movie as well. ^^

  • One of best song from Omkara ..

  • urdu hindi awadhi or even latin does it make any difference enjoy the little time left on this planet folks

  • urdu born first, Pakistan born later. Simple.

  • lolzz...it's not hindi...it's urdu. thats the language used in vast majority of Bollywood movies.

  • @141cbc Actually it is hindi that is used in Bollywood movies, hindi is the national language of india where bollywood films are made. Urdu is the language spoken in pakistan, they are very similar but urdu has elements of arabic in it.

  • @saintz2k7 no dear, movies are actually in "Urdu"....proper Hindi is in some mithun movies and they tried in few others but the stuff was quite heavy and laborious....this what u see and hear in bollywood is Urdu....Urdu and hindi are 70% same .....and in bollywood movies it's all the Urdu words and style used.

  • @141cbc Agreed!!

  • @sabreena1khalick wohee tu! it's ALL URDU! less and less Hindi is being used in bollywood now - more so nearly phased out and reaplaced completely for all intents and purposes by Urdu. Tell you what..I am from pakistan and I don't know Hindi, and i can vouchsafe each and every word of this song is in Urdu and i understand it completely...

  • @141cbc I am Indian Muslim and my native tongue is Urdu. I understand most of what is said in B'wood films expecially this song - typical UP Urdu (where I originated from). I would not be able to understand Hindi - it has many sanksrit words. My dad used used to say that many of the songs and lyrics are in Urdu but they say it's Hindi. Hindi is a totally alien tongue to me. Urdu originated in Utter Pradesh - I'm orginally from Lucknow.

  • @141cbc Urdu is orginally and Indian language. After the Independence, it was officially adopted as the official language of Pakistan. Most Pakistanis speak (ethnica tongue) their own languages at home e.g. Punjabi but use Urdua at work or at school or at law courts. The only native speakers who use Urdu as their own language at home were originally from India - Lucknow , Delhi etc. Only around about 8% speak Urdu as their native, ethnic language at home in Pakistan.

  • @sabreena1khalick good to know you. lucknow is where the heartland of Urdu really exists - and excellent mannerisms - very sophisticated.....our neighbors in karachi were from lucknow..

  • @141cbc Thanks. At least someone knows some history! :) Good to know someone who knows Indian / Pakistani culture. Yes it is the heartland of Urdu. My father used to say that if Bollywood took up Hindi - majority ot B'wood fans wouldn't understand the films. They say the language used in B'wood is Hindi but it is not it is mostly Urdu with just a few hindi words mixed in and officially they call it "Hindi"! LOL!!!

  • @141cbc I speak a less formal version of Urdu - same type of version that the Beedi song is using - real street style Urdu! :) LOL!!!! Non of that "Aap kaisa" type used in romantic poetic Urdu Bollywood songs!! LOL!! Just for once, a song comes along similar to the style for daily living!

  • @sabreena1khalick well, that's interesting....actually it's rather enjoyable sparring and exercising your vocabulary in that Urdu dialect....always brings smiles to the faces of ppl practicing the sweet language. Back in UK, I had this Hindu friend...quite well-settled and sophisticated family...visiting their home, i turned telly on and switched to a pak drama...he remarked he loved the language being used and said that's what we get in Indian movies now too..post-Mithun and post-Hindi days...

  • @141cbc You know what? The day when B'wood use pure Hindi I shall stop watching. Most of the words used in B'wood songs are Urdu with just say 5% Hindi in which I have to ask around for the meaning of the word e.g. chinta (worry) pita (dad) . They use Urdu in most contexts of songs, situations etc cos it is so sophisticated. One word can be used in many diff. ways e.g. Pyar, Ishq, Mohabbat. The Hindus know it but hate to admit that Hindi is not as sophisticated!!! LOL!!

  • @sabreena1khalick Hindi is very harsh on the tongue - far from being a competitor to Urdu, it has been sidelined amongst all Hindus too bar the orthodox ones who still insist their progeny talk in Hindi...even they dont like it..

  • @141cbc I tried to watch India news which was given in Hindi - couldn't make out what was being said. Then I watched Filmfare Awards in Youtube - totally different language given in Urdu. The discrepancy in the reporting was very marked. Why don't people just admit it - Hindi and Urdu may have some similarities but today more and more Urdu in being used in India - in films, news reports, etc. I doubt many muslims would be able to understand proper Hindi.

  • @sabreena1khalick Exactly!

i think those who are sticking their heads in the sand and keep on saying that it is Hindi being used in bollywood, would be well-served watching on national TV "Hindi" news....it may remind them of some old Mithun movie lingo, a far cry from the euphonic stuff of URDU prevalent on bollywood scene now..

  • @141cbc if they had to admit it then Bollywood really relies on the islamic lingua franca! ha! ha! ha! LOL!!! Persian, Arabic and Turkish and little bits of hindi. Soo go ahead at admit it!! :)

  • @sabreena1khalick you have hit the nail on the head ;) they have adopted OUR language of Muslims and want to call it Hindi (even though it has been discarded by them lot!)! lolzz

  • @141cbc I wanted to say this ages ago. You gave me the opportunity to say it on a social platform :) Imagine a romantic song sung in hindi - somehow wouldn't sell many CDs would it??? It wouldn't give it the same romantic vibe!!! How many B'wood fans around the world (Hindus and Muslims) know proper "Hindi"?? Not many I think they mostly speak their ethnic tongue e.g. punjabi, gujerati, bengali etc. Hindi is properly taught in Indian schools.

  • @sabreena1khalick yah sabreena...fact is that Hindi is NOT euphonic at all...Urdu is awesome in this respect...there is no problems in the whole of India going kaboom and using predominantly Urdu language but some of them still adamant that it is Hindi and not Urdu....you talked precise when you said these fellows need to listen to HINDI NEWS to see what it is...far cry from Urdu..few would listen to hindi songs in this day and age..

  • @141cbc Not many people understand Hindi outside India - so why use Hindi??? Urdu was already established as B'wood's lingua franca ages ago. Amitabh Bachan's dad is a very famous Urdu poet in India. What made AB famous is his great dialogue delivireis in the emotive Urdu lyrics and script!! LOL!!!!

By the way - he was born in ALLAHBAD - a predominantly Indian Muslim community also resides there!!!!!

  • @sabreena1khalick exactly!! The RSS has been rabidly campaigning against the Bachchans because of the same facts....Amitabh discarded using Hindi more than three dacades ago...is all about Urdu since 80s...

  • @141cbc I didn't realise that I knew more !! LOL!!! I didn't know that AB discarded Hindi? I realise that Urdu is now being used more and more these days. Compare films of 60s and 70s to films now and anyone will see that differences.

  • @sabreena1khalick Well! Amitabh and the other Bacchans was under threat two years ago from RSS which was mighty peeved at his inclination to serve Urdu rather than Hindi.

I think those who still are stuck in the rut that the bollywood movies are in "hindi" must watch the epic Indian serial MAHABHARAT and compare and contrast the language being employed - now THAT is what you call hindi - quite starkly different from Urdu.

  • @141cbc agreed. case closed !!! :) Just hopefully, future generations are not misinformed that what they see in Indian films are just fabrications of reality. Strange that the Mahabharat is spoken in Hindi and B'wood films are in Urdu mostly? Such discrepancies are startling - isn't it a misrepresentation of realism?? Well B'wood films are most famous in this matter.

  • @sabreena1khalick this is also a reason Rahat Fateh Ali and Atif etc. have swarmed and captured Bollywood market....they are pastmasters in urdu lyrical singing..regarding the notions of misinformation by certain quarters in india, it is so obvious to everyone anyway that the language used in Bollywood now is the one Indian Muslims speak predominantly..URDU. in the song chayya chayya, starring shahrukh, there is also this lyric..."Jiss ki zubaan URDU ki tarah" ;) Urdu has wiped away Hindi in BW

  • @141cbc completely agree and noticed this line in the song myself friend. Now that India is rising to be so-called world player on the economic stage, and more and more B'wood is smoozing with American style living ie. consumerism, they need a more sophistaced language - Hindi won't do. The problem for them is admitting that Hindi films are becoming more like Urdu films - ie scripts and music. Even A R Rehman has turned away from Hindusim and more and more of his music is borrowed from Sufism.

  • @saintz2k7 take out any hit songs you know from the last 5 years in bollywood, and i'll point you how every single word is in urdu:that is persian and arabic mixture with some rekhta(traditional hindustani)

  • @manurocks4ever

There is no bollywood song where all the words are Urdu, if you call it Urdu because that is again borrowed from pure Hindi or other languages. You can say it is a mix of Hindi and Urdu songs, pure urdu/hindi doesn't exist in bollywood these days.

  • @pearl1729 There is a song with pure Hindi. Check this link

    v=5kgBh5ParqY

    v=zwdtbsOU-Y0&feature=related

    v=0UYtyMXwEuo

and many songs (mainly patriotic and hindu devotional songs in movie)

  • @MrNavi88

Yes devotional songs but I meant bollywood usual movies, if you talk devotional stuff of course they try to show the culture as it was before and hence pure hindi

  • @pearl1729

Yes but first link which I send you is actually neither devotional nor religious and still is in pure Hindi. You can also type "Priye Pranseshwari" on youtube to listen it.

  • Just see these links in you tube

  • @saintz2k7 you missed the point altogether! Indian or not indian language is NOT the issue. Issue here is that URDU being used predominantly now in bollywood for the last 20 years or so is being blatantly presented and labled as Hindi by many in Indian circles....so if you were to own up to a language which you claim was created by Indians, then your argument won't be so laughable either ;)

  • @141cbc

It is not pure Urdu and it is not Pure Hindi, it is a mix of both. Urdu and Hindi mix and that is called modern hindi.

Both are Indian languages anyway, so who cares and people understand

  • @pearl1729 well, then there should be no problem in admitting that it's all URDU...not a single word outside the language...because it is all urdu. mithun's proper hindi movies were not so popular....i guess these were developed in india both the languages but the origin of people who own and developed the language urdu is the reason indians fight shy of admitting that their media is now totally swamped by urdu having replaced everything hindi. also urdu being Pak's official language..

  • @141cbc

Urdu was born in India and not Pak. It born out of Hindi, Persian, Arabic and turkish language. Pakistani who think it's their language are just stupid. It developed in today's Uttar Pradesh and around Delhi and state language of five Indian states. Bollywood is basically a Hindi language cinema but today's Hindi has words from other languages like Marathi, Gujarati, Urdu and English but the sentence formation is largely Hindi language. So, Pakis who think that it is Urdu are idiot.

  • @MrNavi88 nevertheless the fact is Urdu is owned proudly by Muslims and is Pak's official language, and not by Indians who keep on lying that it's Hindi and not Urdu which is the language used in their biggest entertainment industry - Bollywood. if India's connection with Urdu is so much, then why this massive hesitation in owning it and not blabbering about Hindi? ALL the words in this song are from Urdu. As you said yourself, Turkish, Persian and even Punjabi words are in Urdu.

  • @141cbc Who cares? Urdu was formed in India. There is no Pakistan without India. Persians had a heavy influence in India. Regardless of if Urdu is Pakistan's national language, that doesn't mean Pakistan is the origin of Urdu. Hindi and Urdu both belong to India. Whatever dialects are developed from these languages in whichever respective country they are spoken in, those dialects will belong to that country. I'm tired of you Pakistanis trying to claim you have been around since 100 yrs.

  • @mszRudegyaL who cares?

well, for starters, the Hindus do care because URDU has supplanted Hindi as the language used in bollywood and even in homes of India. And anyway, at last you have admitted the stark truth...it is Urdu, not Hindi. Yah Pak was not there when Urdu was being created for 900 years but our ancestors developed this language and NOW it represents the language of Sub-continental Muslims, and hence the petulance of RSS etc. over the prevalence and rampant use of Urdu in media.

  • @141cbc first of all hindi is not the language of all hindu , some speak punjabi some tamil some neplai etc etc. secondly Pakistan is seeking its identity which it dosent have how much u run away from india n its history u will become more frustated u people r indian afterall pakistan is a fake country just like israel .dont live in ur false world everone knows pakistan is a fake country made by britishers . its is also a failed nation. u people r indian come back to ur origin.

  • @raktsambandh chorr yar kya behas mei parr gaye hen...lolz...pakistan is not fake..it's very much on the world map and i can speak for my family...we living extremely comfortably and happily in our nation.

  • @141cbc yeah hui na baat dost !!

u know we have many neighbouring countries like srilanka , bangladesh , bhutan etc

but the relationship we share with pakistan is unique we r like cousin.

by the way best of luck for pakistan.

  • @raktsambandh cheers mate! :) and same to you folks ;)

  • @141cbc LOL you sound ridiculous. Urdu belongs to Indians more than it belongs to Pakistan as Indians are the ones who created this language. There was no such thing as Pakistanis. Regardless of if your ancestors OF INDIA have created this language, it still belongs to its country of origin. Without Hindi, Urdu wouldn't exist.

  • @141cbc "Based on the Khariboli dialect of Delhi and Western Uttar Pradesh in the Indian subcontinent, Urdu developed under local Persian, Arabic, and Turkic influence over the course of almost 900 years.[4] It began to take shape in what is now Uttar Pradesh, India during the Delhi Sultanate (1206–1527), and continued to develop under the Mughal Empire (1526–1858). Standard Urdu is mutually intelligible with Standard Hindi."

  • @141cbc "Gradually, the need to communicate with local inhabitants led to a composition of Sanskrit-derived languages, written in the Perso-Arabic script and with literary conventions and specialised vocabulary being retained from Persian, Arabic and Turkic; the new standard was eventually given its own name of Urdu."

  • @141cbc Urdu has every right to be spoken by Indians as India was the place of its origin. Are you saying Indians should have abandoned the language created in their country just because a few of the creators ancestors moved to another place and use it as their official language? It is one of the many cultures of India. Why don't you wise up and claim a language like Persian? Only then your argument wouldn't sound so ridiculous

  • @mszRudegyaL keep ur urdu to urself porki

  • @kalkibhagwan Haha, I'm not Pakistani, Mr. Idiot-Who-Assumes-Unnecessarily
