Orangutans...almost forgotten except as being used for recreational and research purposes, the rich plundered Borneo's virgin jungles and turning it into oil palm plantations. The natives have almost vanished in just 40 years. The current generation are losing their rich culture, forced out of their ancestral lands and are confined to being lowly paid individuals or end up in the underworld flesh trade in cities. Both are now battling for the truth...a very bleak future.
Understood. But the video begs the question.....40-years in a cramped cage; starved, hairless, sick and yet the animal lived to be one of the oldest specimens of its species? I may be making light of the situation, but it seems that the caged apes live longer than the free-roaming, that is if longevity be a measure of quality of life.
Though, I like Gregoire..among the other primitive creatures, i only like him! :') such a sad life he's had until he met that gal
