Bah...sarà anche fuori repertorio, ma è forse l' Azucena che preferisco: interpretazione straordinaria (come in tutti i suoi ruoli) e voce piena e risonante sempre su un binario... le mezzo di solito strillano gli acuti e/o mandano troppo presto ed esageratamente in petto le note gravi.

Verrett never recorded a complete Aida (in the title role or as Amneris). She did collaborate with Caballe on an old RCA opera duets CD featuring the Act II duet as Amneris, my personally favorite track. As for "Trovatore," look for the Decca set with Pavarotti as Manrico and Nucci as Di Luna.
