Both shows have characters with weird names, and unusual plots. It's not worth arguing over, no one is trying to make you do anything.

naruto SUCKS compared to avatar, the only reason why people think that naruto is better is b/c the animation looks better and that they here that it is the "best show ever" by many fans. but to tell u the truth, naruto is just like dragon ball z, THEY WASTE ALMOST EVERY EPISODE TALKING!! in avatar in most of the episodes they get right down to business and fight, and avatar's fighting is WAY WAY BETTER THAN NARUTO'S WILL EVER BE!!

One friend of mine is from China and she says they're nothing alike, but their whole culture is almost identical (or at least from what they teach in out geography books). the str of tem both is pretty much the same guys expect if naruto goes kyubi on him he has like a 40% higher chance of winning but if avater was to go full avater it would go bout 130% avater - 130.1% naruto just cuz the power would make him able to heal his wound but avater powers would be much stronger not takein sides tere both good anime ^_^
