@socafan22 One simple reason...they arent as fast over a lap....I love 2 strokes and miss the sound and feel of riding one but the simple fact is if you want to be competitive you have to be on a four stroke..sadly

Only because the AMA is in the pocket of the bike manufacturers that want to make more money on expensive high maintenance cost bikes. Thats why they changed the rule to allow 450cc Four strokes in the 250cc class.  Farting fours are killing the sport. Soon it'll be like nascar. Only mega sponsored riders will be able to compete.
