Macedonia was an ancient nation, where they spoke greek, prayed to greek gods, had greek traditions (like watching greek dramas from greeks like Evripidis, listen to greek philosophers like Aristotelis and finally with the help of all other greek nations and with Alexandre the Great as a leader (who had Iliad for his pillow, believed he was descendant of Achilies and Hercules and was a greek person from no matter how you see it) conquested against Persians. Now tell me if Macedonia is not Greek

I just dont understand if Alexander the Macedon was a greek, why would he attack the greek cities-states? and why wouldn't he call the empire "greece" or ''hellass'' insted of macedonia?
