Wrong, Bush's initial approval rating was about 55% his first day. It went up to past 90% the day and weeks after 9/11 then dropped to about 39% on his last day. Obama came in with pre approval of 72% then rose to it's highest level while in office just this past week to 68%.

RCP Average is currently 60.9% so I am not sure why you are looking at past averages, i.e."I guess that's why he has a 72% approval rating right now?" I don't remember saying anything about global warming, but I'd assume you could just look at ice core samples around the world showing a rapid increase in warming through out the world the past 100 years or so. Increased CO2 levels, geological surveys, etc.

Wrong, government spending on the new deal along with war spending got us out of it. The bail out was better than a collapse, I didn't say this recession wasn't bad, I just said it's no where near the great depression, it's just a deep recession. In other news, Obama holds the record of worst performance for a new president in at least 90 years ;-) The Dow has fallen 20% since inauguration day and 31% since election day. The Dow remains in a freefall and Obama is at risk of being the first democratic president in which the Dow has not climbed an average of 10% in his first year. The worst Dow freefall in at least 90 years = Obama. I guess you may call it "change you can believe", however I although not a great fan prefer Bush to this!

Wrong, Bush's initial approval rating was about 55% his first day. It went up to past 90% the day and weeks after 9/11 then dropped to about 39% on his last day. Obama came in with pre approval of 72% then rose to it's highest level while in office just this past week to 68%.

I'm sorry I do not know which polls you are using Gallup, RCP, Fox, ABC, CBS, NBC? RCP Average is currently 60.9% so I am not sure why you are looking at past averages, i.e."I guess that's why he has a 72% approval rating right now?" (Obama has never had an approval rating above 70% while in office according to Gallup) I am just making the point that most presidents are liked around the beginning of their presidency. Anyways, polls don't really mean much, policy does.

You fail to understand people, not bankers and lenders are the ones that agreed to these loans. Yes the interest rates were too high, yes it was not a good financial decision and yes these people had the opportunity to simply walk away without signing the contract.

I wouldn't put the blame just on Bush, I'd put it on bankers and lenders as well. The recession did start in Dec of 2007, under Bush's watch. I didn't vote for Obama, nor have I ever stated that I was a fan of his. I will say he's doing a much more and better job at being a president in his 40 - something days in office than Bush did in 8 years. If you're going to rant like this, you might want to brush up on your English skills. I could hardly understand what you were trying to say.

I noticed one thing that really shows who you are. You put the blame on the bankers and lenders but FAILED to even hint at those individuals who actually agreed to the terms of the loan to begin with. The financial mess started many years ago and simply grew like a cancer under Clinton - and yes he has already admitted it! But even if our gov't requried banks to give poor loans out, the individual is responsible for what they purchase - something you fail to even notice. How pathetic!

Under Clinton we had a budget surplus and great market/banking regulations that were done away with Under Bush. The tech bubble was on his Clinton's watch although Bush had to deal with it. I'd but the blame with the tech bubble on the street though.

Wrong, show me anywhere in that bill that he signed stating that banks need to lend to UNQUALIFIED borrowers. It only states that someone can't be discriminated against because of race, where they live or buy property. If you can find something that states in that bill that banks had to lend to UNQUALIFIED borrowers, I'll personally send you a $1,000 check and that's not just talk.

You should ask yourself if you would lend someone money if they didn't meat qualifications you've set to pay you back. I'd assume that you wouldn't, so why would the banks? I'd put MOST but not all of the blame on them. Personal responsibility does come into play at some point for borrowers

Why did our gov't pass laws that mandated banks give these loans to those people who could not or had zero intention of re-paying their loan? That is fundamental problem. These banks would have never made these loans had the gov't not mandated it or if they did not then they would have lost their gov't rating and people would stopped doing business with them. That is the problem.

I don't remember saying anything about global warming, but I'd assume you could just look at ice core samples around the world showing a rapid increase in warming through out the world the past 100 years or so. Increased CO2 levels, geological surveys, etc.
