i took the plunge and bought club after watching this video, and i couldn't be happier. i've never worn a very dark look like that before, but i tried it this last weekend over the slate JEP from nyx and my girlfriends were blown away. i've got blue eyes and fair skin, and i'm a brunette, and they told me my eyes looked HUGE and that i should wear this look at night way more often. thank you SO MUCH for making makeup so accessible to the timid.

I have really dark eyebrows and I lighten mine up with bleach... I know sounds scary but its not. There is bleach that is made for the face. Its safe. I have been doing if for years. Honestly for like 12 years. But if you ask your hair dresser they can also lighten them. Good luck.

@Hyly, I never thought of that, and I guess I missed her video about applying moisturizer that way, I've never seen her actually do that either.

How come every time I see you guys apply foundation, it goes on so seamlessly? I've adopted you both as gurus and got products you recommended, including brushes, make up by names you use, etc., but unless I mix it with MAC's F&B, it does not glide on so immediately and completely and smoothly. I sometimes use a primer, sometimes not. But ALWAYS use products you guys use. I was matched (for color). It just takes serious time/techniques to get a smooth application. What am I doing wrong?

you should use Macs Prepnprime it will smooth out ur surface for a smooth application for your make up

@Merrida100 In one of her videos, Sam suggests using a moisturizer right before you apply your foundation (apply the moisturizer with your foundation brush, they follow with applying your foundation with the same brush.) I have the same problem but I tried this technique and it works very well for me! :)

May I just say I admire your work so much, I hope one day to be as great of a talent as you are.

I own the color Club by Mac and LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I also tie it in at the edge using Black Tie by Mac. I was given the cream color base Hush also by Mac to use under this look.

i have medium or dark red hair but my eye brows are sort of light brown so i never know what color to get for my brows???

my daughter has light red hair -her brows are very light red (look at my makeup slideshow to her) and I did her brows using a light taupe/very light brown color.

Unless you have black hair, very dark brows can look too harsh (unless that is the look you are going for)

I would err to staying on the lighter side for your brow color. But that is just my opinion.I am not a trained professional LOL

that Elf transformer is brilliant. i use it over a black base and those colours really come out!..eg if you put it over that black liner youd have a shimmery green one

I absolutely LOVE all of your tutorials! If I like the look, I usually purchase all of the products. I went and bought blue-brown and old gold pigment. . .green brown pigment is a pro color, so I'll call that in to order it. I also went on a frenzy trying to find buttery eye kohl. I was able to find a few for $30.00 a piece US currency - but it is my favorite! Thanks for your suggestions!
