  • @coltonmehlhoff Try the Philips A19 AmbientLED. The advantage of the Philips also is the radius of illumination, they are designed to fit snap on lampshades, of which there are billions in people's homes.

  • @LuMagazine Thank you for the specific example. It is a good light bulb in many ways but it does coast twice as much, consume more power, and will look funny in anything but a lamp. I think these are both useful depending on the situation.

  • These LEDs are OK. The Philips LED line sold at Home Depot is ten times better!

  • @LuMagazine, I did some research today. The ewatt light bulb is more efficient then the similar bulb by the Home Depot as well as brighter. It is almost $3 more expansive right now, but it is new and it is being used to fund robotics teams!

  • Thank You Dean for all that you have done to help us further our education into STEM through FIRST also thank you google !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

  • wait... isnt plastic bad for the envirionment?

    is the plastic recyclable?

  • @beastlikethat100, it is common known that plastic is not the best for the environment. I am not sure if the plastic in these bulbs is recyclable. But these ewatt bulbs do not use mercury! Mercury is used in the manufacturing of incandescent bulbs and is used in the end product of florescent bulbs.
