I'm getting a schnauzer in a few weeks but when the time comes for his first trim, I'd rather have it a little shorter and also, I don't really like when I see the long beard. Bearing this in mind, is there a particular style of cut I should ask my groomer for? Thanks, Gareth.
Just ask them to clip the dog shorter and to trim the beard when it gets long. A puppy won't need it's beard trimmed for the first year , so don't request it to be trimmed the first trim. There is no name for the cut other than a Schnauzer trim. We don't have a" puppy cut" the trim is the same for any age. Patty
