whats interesting is the ad says PCs freezes but Mac's don't but yet I can sit at a mac at college and it will crash during boot up where as I can go on a PC and it runs perfect.

@cjbaker1967 then you obviously don't know how to fix a computer. formatting it only erases the harddrive, so that's only fixing any software issues. since continues to crash, it's a hardware issue. run some tests, figure out which part is broken, and replace it. it's not that hard.

I think PC is freezing cause his hard drive is full of stuff, not becasue hes a PC or is runnnin Windows. If Mac was full of shit (which it is) it would freeze up as well.

Now this is propaganda. I HAVE a Macbook, and the thing shuts down on me randomly, from using media to rewriting files. I have even gotten the "you need to restart your computer" message after only unplugging my headphones. They have no right to make this commercial.

On another note, bragging about not having viruses to widen the userbase is quite ironic. After all, if everyone switched to Mac, then it would be Window-based systems that would be safe from harm, lol.

I own a MacBook, and mine has told me to restart once or twice (and I use mine extensively). I don't think that regular crashes are common on Macs (don't hear many reports that go untreated, at least). So maybe get your Book checked.

On the virus thing, I think that's mostly true; but thats one of those "What If"-styled comments. The world doesn't run on what-ifs.

my mac fits in my purse, cost 500 bucks, and even though its 3 years old, i STILL never swear at it. its on 24/7 and i NEVER have to restart it unless i update all my software which happens once a week or so.

listen, all i have to say is that, the computer i'm on runs 24/7, i don't turn it off cuz i keep my away message on in AIM..

I use a mac and my computer is on 24/7 so I can be on adium (combines msn, aim, icq all of those in one program.) I have never had my computer turn off when doing any tasks whether I have one or 7 programs running.

I saw a friend's Mac crash just after plugging in a USB flash drive, my friend said that it was the flash drive's fault, not the Mac's fault. Although I must admit, a Mac crash screen definately looks better than a BSOD. LOL
