Ok at my local chinese take-away they serve this differently. They don't bother with flavoring the rice they just serve the Chicken on a bed of rice.. With the chicken they just boil it and slice into pieces then they spoon condiments on top of the chicken which is finely chopped spring onions, ginger and lemon grass that were previously poured over with hot oil consisting of peanut and sesame oil. Then they pour a big spoon of the sweetened soy sauce and chili sauce... It's so mouthwatering!!!
