I swear he was going to whack a wall at some point. You can go hard at Bathurst, but he was extremely hard around this track! It wasn't Greg Murphy's epic lap, but that was crazy sick! I'm an American, but that was a crazy awesome lap!

Frosty,Whincup,Lowndes,Tander and Davison are at least as good as any tin top drivers in the world.

Italy's Fabrizio Giovanardi and American Boris Said are very good road racers in their neck of the woods. But they were 3 seconds of the pace at last years Bathurst. Giovanardi said he has never been 3 seconds off in his entire racing career!!! And Boris was so humbled at the Phillip Island Endurance race, he said he was embarrased and wanted to leave our shores with some respect!!!

Also ask yourself this, how many viewers do you reckon were lost when it became bogan v bogan? Then ask yourself how many supporters they would have 'gained' by this move? none. Yeah and u think the turbos were getting as much out of them as they could? hardly. A gtr engine is good for 1000hp +. The rb26 is basically a race engine. Whats funny is the gibson GTR is still quicker over the 1/4 that the current supercars more than 15 years later! thats a joke. Spewin99 - Was right about how well the engineers get the maximum performance from the baby 5ltr V8. If you compare them to the much larger and powerfull 5.8ltr block of a Nascar Sprint cup engine,the V8's extract more from what their given relatively. My passion is V8's, however i love and admire the GTR and would own one given half a chance. But for racing, fans love the sliding rear wheel drives of the Fords and Holdens. And that's why drifting is so popular too.GTR's will never match that.

Yes, fair call in hindsight! I sent that post 3 months ago, but looking at it again Kelly won't be up there (and Dumbrell & him aren't paired in the same car, neither is Courtney/Gis). I really can't wait for Bathurst, it will be awesome. Richo and Frosty certainly have some "unfinished" business on the mountain & the quickest car in the field, so here's hoping..

They had an irregularity in the ecu at Indy at 2 weeks later that they got pinged for, if thats perhaps what your thinking of.

As well, the race director has nothing to do with technical matters. All they do is call safety cars, etc, they dont even touch the cars, and certainly don't have the power to dq a car. All that stuff is handled by the stewards, and theres a bunch of them.
