  • i like you man

giving your side yet keeping an open mind

whered the cola go? id like the creators to tell me

    nice job

  • I dont need it anyway i have floorboards

  • "Sham Wow IN PERSON" YouTube THAT!!!!

  • try that

  • Chuck Norris Can Make It Work

  • ITS REAL I SAW A GUY DEMINSTRATE IT!!!

  • OMG NICE JUST NICE GOOD WORK MAN

  • theres live demos of it working

  • My wife got me the Sham-Wow from Walgreens, so we didn't pay the full television price. What an absolute joke. Its a piece of thick felt...nothing more. It can't compete with the regular kitchen rags I already have.

  • LOL

    shamfail

Theres no way I'd spend 50 bucks on a FAILTOWEL when I could just use $5 normal ones that work just as well

Or, to the people that believe the shamwow works, lets throw 5000 of them in the ocean! Yep, I bet 'ya the sea will go down AT LEAST five meters ( sarcasticness is fun :D )

  • Yeah, it works...if all you drink is soda and have cheap synthetic carpets. In which case stains are the least of your worries.

  • Good eyes! I knew that this was too good to be true. Thanks

  • So.....LOL

  • get a real job

  • @JakeTF2 Why?

  • So... I'll give you that the commercial is badly edited (I noticed the Coke/carpet thing too) but... have you actually tried the product or seen it being used? I bought a set of mini Shamwows on sale at Target (wasn't ready to shell out $20+ for the regular ones if I wasn't sure they were going to work as advertised)... and they are _amazing_ and I plan to buy more. Haters gonna hate, I guess...

  • i agree with this we have one at home i did the same test because alike everyone else i was curious and no it didnt work

  • shame WOW. yeah i noticed that in the commercial

  • Okay 2 things.

    1. The guy just kept repeating the same 2 facts over and over. Also, 2 facts doesn't really void a product.

    2. Just because the puddle of Cola was gone doesn't mean that it is faked. It just means that the director didn't notice this in production.

I'm just adding a second opinion to this. I could be wrong, but does it really matter; i mean it's just a commercial.

  • Perhaps testing the product and using it properly (unlike many people here on YouTube) would do better than simply analyzing an infomercial.

  • Yea you are right UNLIKE some other people

  • you know these infomercials have takes just like movies right? >.> it could be that they had to film the same thing more than once. You're just over analyzing everything. They aren't making false claims,I have a shamwow and it seems to be a honest representation of what it does. you really have too much free time. if you wanna talk scams talk about the Amish electric heater.

  • umm you can also see the size of the rug sample is a different size from the first to the second. The second one is larger.

  • mine works perfectly!!!

  • Damn you, Vince, you and your scams... but good vid!

He's sitting in his mansion right now laughing at everyone who bought one.

  • i hate tv commercials

  • i noticed that the first time i watched this comercial

  • also, didn't anyone think it was weird that when they're interviewing ppl that are saying its amazin ndstuff...that they're buying it? how cold they know if they have it perfectly wraped in their hands?

  • and i was gonna buy one!! darn it

  • 5 starts, favourited.

  • Fred, I recently watched two separate demos of said product. As in, watched a guy live, right in front of me.While your observations may have been right about this particular clip, but being of sound mind and body, I've gotta tell you, it actually does everything he says. So despite all the video cutting you pointed out, a live demonstration in front of a live audience has the same results. Heck, I bought one and tried mimicking the claims at home. Worked fine for me too.

  • Yes, you are correct. I am speaking here about this one infomercial. However, if this product really worked as claimed then there would be no reason to make a false claim or post false scenes in that infomercial. That speaks directly to the quality of the product as well as what the marketing people think of their product.

    -FT

  • no, it just speaks of the short amount of time they had to make the commercial (less chances at cuts) and their budget. they just couldnt keep redoing the scene until the cola doesnt spill out so they used a prop.

  • budget? its old carpet, tape/dvd, and one unit of there own product.

  • i knew it

  • yes you are correct

  • Never buy Informercial products.

    5 of 5

  • damn right, 5 stars!

  • All infomercial is done this way, consumers just decide by themselves. And please do not repeat the facts too much, makes you sound desperate. Otherwise, great video.

  • most advertising is deception

  • Shamwow actually works pretty well... altough the infomercial is pretty lame :D It does everything else that is shown in it!

  • this was a good video. 5 stars.

  • Scam Wow

  • vince stole Billy May's products. the shamwow is a crappy version of zorbees, and the slap chop is a copy of the quick chop...

  • Thats like saying Microsoft copied Nintendo because they made a game system.

  • Everyone commenting saying that the SHAM WOW works is full of crap.

  • It works, but only Diet Cola will easily come off. I know that infomercials suck, but this actually works.

  • the shamwow does work, my boyfriend bought one a while ago, and its pretty awesome. I don't care if they faked the commercial, it works anyway

  • that stupid towel doesnt work, cant even get the blood stains out of my trunk!!

  • LMAO!!!

  • trust me the sham wow actually works i bought one today it is ridiculous how much it can hold no joke

  • buy the product, then make your judgment...in fact, the shamwow works pretty good...

actually, it works pretty much like shown in the infomercial...

  • it does actually work, i saw a live demo of it, trust me it works,

  • Step 1. pour cola on the carpet

Step 2. pour cola under the carpet

Step 3. get a new carpet

Step 4. claim "Shamwow made it good as new!"

  • is that all you guys do just pick apart adverts?

the towel works pretty well actually.

  • Zellers had a In-Store Demo of a Shamy and I'm still not convinced.

The guy could have been using a different one to make it look good.

  • lol he says "let's do this real time" yea right.

  • i wonder if it really works now, just think going to ur friends house and pouring soda on their carpet lolz their faces would be funny.

  • i saw that too, i thought i was the only one

  • omg really dident know that

    -(sarcsme

  • how about watch someone do it in person and then decide for yourself. they're guilty of editing the video, but the product speaks for itself.

  • i agree

  • i thought i was the only one that noticed that!!!

  • sooooo.... i shouldn't trust an ex-scientologist that beats up hookers?

  • omg he is a scam!@@#~@

  • I've seen a shamwow do that in real life.

    the exact same thing

    and it worked.

its not a lie at all

you need to get a life -_-

  • SCAM WOW! O_O

  • scam now

  • Fred you should probably watch a video of it actually working where there is no cuts.. and ive also seen the demonstration done... yes you are right about the commercial but thats how most commercials are... infact tho they use the same carpet at the demonstration and it literally sucks almost all of the soda up, its still better than anything you have at home

  • I've seen this done in person at an auto show...it's not a scam wow!

  • until i told her of coarse

  • "coarse"?

  • i noticed that first time! My mom didnt even see it. and im 12

  • Scam, scam! Sham wow is a scam! He exposed it. Wham!

  • either way, you should buy a shamwow. they work amazing, i love mine

  • you caould also go buy a $5 shammy at menards they are the exact same thing

  • Dude i saw it too!

  • SCAM WOW

  • SCAM WOW

  • hell yea sham wow works before u use it

  • thanks 4 this help 4 spaming of the sham wow

  • That may be, but I've seen this demonstration live, and used it myself and it works. Quite well actually. It sucks up just about any liquid you throw at it and quickly.

  • sham wow is a sham

  • lol

  • So you say Shaw-Wow is a sham... wow ! :)

  • sham wow is that good

  • theres also the part where he rolls it over with no pressure and then rings it out in to bowl. then when he alpplies pressure the water in the bowl is gone until he rings it out again.

  • dude he is totaly right

  • no, you're not right.

  • This just proves that shamwow is so amazing that it actually begins absorbing before you even take it out to do the work.

  • LOL

  • No...this means that the mat that vince put cola on absorbs the cola and the shamwow doesn`t absorb witch means they should be selling the mat insted of the shamwow.

  • I don't know what made that puddle disappear, but whatever did is what we should buy!

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA WOW FUNNY :D

  • ITS A TRICK! The carpet is more absorbent than the sham wow!! :O

  • Actually the quick camera angle change makes the viewer not notice that the leakage from underneath has in fact disappeared.

  • Wouldn't that be false advertisement?

  • you have wayy too much time on your hands. its an infomercial. its the hosts job to try and get you to buy the product i really dont see why its such a big deal. i mean for my job i always carry a shamwow wannabe towl i got from walmart in the car section and it works just fine for me. it does exactly what it says it suposed to

  • maybe its that good

  • fair criticism.

And ofcourse, we see no comparison of the difference of this towel with regular rags.

    And...

What is this special towel made of that seperates it from the others?

  • Wow.

It's funny how these dudes go to large lengths just to tell people what was /obviously/ a scam.

    Sham-Wow?

Nothing is going to be perfect, how about as human beings, we use our muscles designed to move us, and wipe up the freakin' spill ourselves?

  • not even a shop vacuum cleaner could make a carpet underside that spotless... my cheap $2 towels work better than my shammy. :(

  • nice job buddy! i actually was watching very carefully during the commercial itself

and i thought it looked different too

  • I'm pretty sure that false advertisment is against the law.

  • @BleedItOut10

It is, which is why they try and make them so undetectable =]

    ~Chris

  • If you're gullible to have fallen for this scheister, I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you. There really is a sucker born every minute...

  • guys that say that they have one, and it does not work. the sham wow has to be damp to obsorbe. lol i dont have one so i dont know if that will help or not, i heard it on one of these videos.

  • Watch the full video. Vince says "This works wet or dry"

  • I think it's fake but I have seen it done in real life before. But FairWeatherHooker is completely right. I wiped off a wet desk with it once and it just pushed the water onto the floor. And after that there were wet streaks all over the desk.

  • Yeah, there was a vid of a demo and you could see the guy secretly pushing the water off the table

  • we all know its fake

  • They don't work. I bought some and the first spill I tried to clean up in my carpet did not come up the way he shows it. It took some time and effort to get it to work. Spills on hard surfaces are even worse! It will leave streaks and also leave the surface very wet. Life time guarantee? Machine washable? They now have holes in them! Holes! How is that for lifetime guarantee? The blue ones have all shrunk. SCAM WOW! all the way!

  • The coke is a lie!!

  • ~mrbuerger

    xDD

    Epic win! :P

    ~Chris

  • How true

  • All I could say is SCAM WOW

  • It's strange that they did that in the commercial because they really didn't have to. The damn thing actually works.

  • i have a vid out there saying the same thing but it is not popular i noticed that the first time i watched the infomershel

  • i think they switched cloth 2 times, look at your video at 1:47 the cloth is switched yet again and has no stain at all before he sham wows it

  • the thing still works cause i got a free one and they did a demonstration at my mall

  • how dare you talk down the great vince or the shamwow. All praise the wow

  • vince was arrested for fighting a prostitute, the funny thing, the PROSITUTE BEAT HIM UP! praise him now

  • more like all praise the now (Scam now)

  • good vid ... i believed it

  • good job fred!!!!

  • Sham wow works fine for me. Wash my car, dry it is like it says.. No issues. So far pretty happy with it.

  • Blah!

  • oookay..

  • I know people exagerate, but this is WAY more than exagerating.

  • I have one, it works ok

  • Haha...He even says to blurt out the trick "Now we're going to do this in real time"...NO!...You're not doing that in REAL TIME...It's clearly TWO SEPERATE SHOTS AT TWO DIFFERENT TIMES...

  • Exactly. The whole thing is a scam. Nothing more than a glorified chamois.

  • Haha...Wow...And I use to be impressed with this product when I would see it air on television...That carpet scene always bewildered me and put me in awe...What a stupid scam artist...Isn't there another one he did and it was set in the kitchen?...WHAT WAS THAT PRODUCT?!...

  • I tested the ShamWow myself, and of course i'll just give you my thoughts if you've been thinking about buying it.

It DOSE soak up the bowl of water and doesn't drip, i don't know how to compare the bowl i had to the one on the commercial, so it might not be accurate, but it worked.

It DOSE work wet and dry.

It dose NOT pick up stains on the carpet, as the video shows. It's a waste, but don't get it for this feature!

  • mine works really good

  • I heard that after one wash from the dryer I believe, it's useless

  • Well, all infomercials over-exaggerate the product; it's just a fact. But I have heard good things about the ShawWow.

  • Also, why does this video only have 3 stars? I actually find this rather interesting.

  • Yes but it still works

  • Ya spend a thousand dollars a month

    on hookers anyway!

  • The first moment I saw the video I knew there was something wrong. Too many cut scenes. Why they dont make an uncut scene? because they know the "Shamewows will not work.

  • You mean an infomercial tried to deceive us??!! You're kiiding me!!!

LOL! Comeon, dude. It USED to be common knowledge that all they did was sell junk products to suckers. I guess common sense isn't so common anymore, is it? The dumbing down of America and the foolishness of those with more money than sense. It's a crying shame.

    I appreciate your efforts though.

  • Shamwow was made in Germany.

You know what else was made in Germany?Hitler and his Nazi army.....Beware of immitators.

  • welcome to the internet buddy

  • Instead of picking apart the commercial, why not try actually purchasing the product and testing it yourself. I personally have seen the ShamWOW used, and it works.

Of course the commercial is misleading. It's TV.

  • i really dont care, its flippin awesome, and the guy rocks!

  • Who cares, seriously.

  • i dont care. i still think it's real.

fred needs to get a life.

  • Yes, it is real. You can see live demonstrations at some malls, with the carpet, and it works indeed.

  • yes it does work, but not as PERFECTLY as seen in the informercial.. but it works good enough for you to buy one

  • It does work, i have one. But not quite like they said. The likelyhood of it vacuuming all of a soda spillage into itself just by pushing it onto the floor is practically impossible.

  • It's obvious that the stain is going to change shapes... It's a low-budget infomercial, meaning they're going to have to do DIFFERENT TAKES to get the nifty camera angles to keep your eyes interested for a whole two minutes. They probably poured the same cola on that carpet three or four times for all the shots they wanted.

The infomercial glorifies the abilities of the shamwow, of course. But that doesn't mean that the stain is going to magically keep shape for three different shots.

  • The Shamwow works!!!!

  • Acually i ahve 6 shamwows and they acually DO work. I know i was suprised myself. I bought them to see if they acually work and they work almost exactly like he says. The only difference is it acually only holds about 10x its weight in liquid not 20x. This is a really good product i recommend it :o)

  • Infomercials are bullshitting you, STOP THE PRESSES, ALERT THE NEWS.

  • lol

  • shamwow is awesome, nobody cares if they are lying we just love vence!

  • This video is pathetic, tell us something we didn't already notice 100x.

  • Jesus, I don't see the point of YouTubers insulting this guy, it's pathetic.

  • this video fails

  • How does it fail? Do people on YouTube revel in their ignorance and dislike being informed? --- Oh yeah, they do. I forgot.

  • yes the commercial was edited and so therefore false in some aspects, but that doesnt mean the towel doesnt work.

  • It's funny how many SCAMWOW Scumbags are here posting that it really works. Get back to scamming people folks....go run along!

  • I use this product and it works very well. Its as near enough to the commercial as anyone can expect. Everyone I've talked to that uses it regularly agrees.

  • this crap actually works better than i thought

  • Billy Mays' product, Zorbeez, is the best!

  • deceptive? your stupid. its called editing. they want him to do it in one try so they cleaned up his mistake where he spilled it all over and poured out another controlled one. go buy the product before you knock it. it does work. also follow the instructions. how can you boycot something you never owned and if you do own it you should state it clearly in your vid instead of assuming everyone knows you bought one.

  • Watch live demonstrations of it done by actual people. They're also on Youtube. And it DOES work, and Taub's theory falls apart at the seams.

  • Or maybe it cleaned it up? XD

  • If you watch the live commercial on youtube she does that same thing and it works

  • lololololololololol

  • you're dumb i own one... they rock, you don't sorry BRAH

  • You're not a genius to notice this, I noticed how it wasn't a continuous film the first time I saw the commercial. I was like "OMG, he's gonne be able to transport his ShamWow through a carpet! Oh, the cola's gone, WTF?"

  • I've seen a live demonstration. It works fine. You people are just doing it wrong.

  • hah my friend has a shamwow

she said its like wiping up a stain with a picture frame

    sham wow sucks

  • You may as well try to prove that if you stand outside in the sun long enough on a blazing hot day in August when you have a high fever and clench your winter-gloved fist hard enough an M & M will actually melt in your hand.

  • who cares

  • Thats because shamwow can absorb stuff from across a table. Its just that good

  • you missed the point , the cola was so scared by vince reaching for the shamwow it ran away , no scam

  • Or maybe it just didn't want to embarrass him and his stupid product.
