actaully thats a major misconception they dont die there fangs grow back but it is painfull for them and cruel even if they are deadly and its dangerous because most pepole do not know that they can grow a new set of fangs within 20 minuetts or less sometimes

Its actually quite painful for the snake.They rip the fangs out of the snake and it suffers a slow death, not because it cannot eat,but because the pain of eating is to overwhelming.

Actually, many snake charmers also sew the mouths shut, and feed them cow's milk...which is not at all suitable for a snake's needs.

He is not hurting the snake, and it's his business if he chooses to take his chances with being bitten. You can't remove a snakes fangs, it wouldn't be able to eat properly. You could remove the venom glands but a snake this size would still pack a nasty punch even without venom, though I don't know if that's the case in this video

Actually, cobras can't fold their fangs. They're fangs are thus much shorter than you would expect.

This is very sad to see such an amazing animal tortured like this. Like all snake charmers, there's no doubt that this snake has had its fangs removed wot a terrible sight. It is a majestic animal and an endangered species, this guy is not scared to play with this snake because he knows he is in no danger as he has already removed the snakes fangs. Very, very sad.

King cobras bluff a lot more than they are serious about biting. I saw that snake's body language indicate only once, maybe twice, that he was really starting to get seriously annoyed and would have been likely to really bite. The handler did back off somewhat at that point, then approached again. I'd say he knows what he is doing even if I don't think much of stressing kings for show purposes.

I'm not a dude, and I do a lot of hands-on time with this species. I've worked with big Malay kings that were a lot angrier than this one due to injury, and this doesn't qualify. This snake is just mildly annoyed and huffy. It is not in pain or discomfort, and it is not reacting like a snake that is terrified for its life.

Nothing good happens to you if you are bitten by a king. I've avoided it so far by not doing any stupid snake tricks. I do get about as close to them as you see on the vid, but I just give vet exam and treatment and back off again.

Many decades ago, in the 70s, I read in a local newspaper about tow king cobras in the state of Kedah, Peninsula Malaysia, were fighting. The villagers were scared and never leave their houses until one the king cobra was dead. They took the dead king cobra and measured it. It was 21 ft long.

The snake in question was a wild cobra that had found its way to a nearby temple and then brought to the snake farm. The guy who is "dancing" with the cobra loves and admires snakes, and he would never mutilize a snake by cutting out its tongue.
