I just bought a guitar about a week ago for the first time, and i tried to learn this song but i am struggling so much with the chords!! i am just not getting a G or C properly..cant hold all the wires with the same pressure and one would always sound horrible..can you suggest any way out...

( I'm french, andmy english is very bad ) sorry !!! but you're wonderfull

  • HAHA I want u to be my teacher :)

  • Dude, you should put your own full version up. I know this song from this lesson, and i believe that your version is better than the real one

  • awesome thank you sooo much

  • very nice old man .

  • "base notes", you can explain me that? (I'm from latinoamerica, forgive my english)

  • @dxgxpxavalos A base note is the not that the chord is based after. So on a G chord, it would be a G note (the third fret on the E string) Hope that helped.

  • @dxgxpxavalos

los bajos. Por ejemplo E A D en tu guitarra son bajos, G B E altos. Just strum the top first and then the rest. Sry if my spanish sucked.

  • Fantastic! Easy to follow the steps you explain. I need the song for the weekend and now I am sure, I can make it! :-) Thank you very much!!! Greetings from Berlin/Germany.

  • hi goldhat ive been playing for about 6 months its getting better my singing aint too bad but when i try and put them together im finding it difficult any advice?

  • Thanks very much. You did make it easy. Keep up the great work. Your the Man

  • When you're changing chords on an 1/8 note strum is it just standard convention to omitt that last up when you change chords? It looks like he's changing chords after a down stroke.

  • Thanks, I was having trouble with the strum pattern and you solved it .

  • Goldhat3

Thanks for showing it in a way that was real easy to follow.i know its an easy tune but you did a great way showing how.now i gotta practice this, great tune! can you do scarbourgh fair?

  • anybody have a detail on what he did when he "walked down to Em"?

  • I do the G, the I take my middle finger off and move my pointer finger up to the top string on the second fret, strum, then go to the Em.

  • @punke217

In case you're still wondering about this, it looks like he's just playing an F# note (low E string, 2nd fret) between the G chord and the Em chord. Hope this helps. :)

  • @duncanturner91 haha its been a long time but thanks anyway!

  • Great tutorial!!!

    Thanks :)

  • Thank you! Very nice tutorial, the chords are actually very, very close to original version of Bob Dylan!

  • LOL the way your like G How many roads!! Next chord! Must a man walk down! :L

  • @mcleavl yeah.. when you have a hard task to do. ask a lazy guy. he will find an easier way to solve it.
