  • It's the 'Hook'y bass-line that makes this song so accesible.

Bittersweet--makes me angry and sad all at once.

  • hooky's a cool guy

  • Grande Som !!!

  • Ro34100

  • i miss NO:( Hooky, get yer ass in gear!!! great song though;)

  • great song

  • No começo, onde as pessoas entram e são fotografadas, há uma senhora (não muito 'simpática - em 0:18) que lembra o Coringa do Batman...hehe!!!

  • in the 60's London, there was much graffiti of "Clapton is God".....when it comes to melodic agressive ass-kicking lead bass, Hooky is God!

  • Old and Best Times

  • Criei uma conta só para registrar minha satisfação em ouvir esta música!! Good times are back again! Amazing! Me sinto uma adolescente novamente!! ... and I can't imagine.... SHA LA LA LALA

  • Good memories of my adolescence. Good times. Times more than back.

  • Essa música é demais....Eterno Clássico!!!

    I love this place

  • I LOVE this music! Reminds me the (good times of the) year of 1997...The beggining of the video, very cool! This song was a hit here in Brazil; I even have the CD. Mara!!!

  • Clássico!

  • "What do you want from me, its not how it use to be, you've taken my life away, ruining everything" How can so few words define so accuretly an existance. My conscious exposed.

  • this song was on the radio all time where i lived when i was like 10-11.. been stuck in my head ever since

  • Great song!!!

  • Eu amo essa música!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Bellissima stava anche in uno spot Martini 1998.

  • Their second album was pretty good too, it's a shame they got dropped from their UK label and it never saw light stateside.

  • I agree. I have both albums and they're two of the best CD's in my collection. I'd love their to be a reunion with a new album out. Especially since it's been a while since New Order's last album.

  • Amazing song. Just discovered it from an episode of Daria.

  • Word. I heard it on Daria about a decade ago, and only recently re-discovered it based on memory of the lyrics.

  • Yeah, I was watching the Daria dvds I bought on ioffer a couple of days ago and this song came up on the "Quinn the Brain" episode and I immediately went online and looked it up. Just bought the cd used from Amazon for $2! Listened to samples on Amazon and the whole cd sounds brilliant.

  • Well if you like Monaco, be sure to check out New Order if you're not already familiar. They share the same basist and sound quite similar, and there's much much more music from New Order.

  • I found this song the same way and I was wondering where I could find the cd

  • I bought it used on amazon for about a dollar. There's tons of sellers on amazon selling it for about a buck. Hope that helps.

  • I heard it on daria. I miss that time when i was a stupid teen

  • lol same here, good memories

  • car mui bueno!!

  • That blonde guy looks like Kevin Spacey :-) lol

  • I love this song!!! I think I commented in here before. But I just got this album like a week ago off eBay mainly because I was watching this and a co-worker I know is a huge NewOrder fan (I like them too and Joy Division) and he never knew of Monaco.

I love this song and the entire cd is cool. Right now that co-worker has the cd, but not before I put it on my computer.

  • What a sweet song. Love that nice signature New Order sound.

  • I've looked at a number of their songs, and for a side project of all things, they sound like New Order with a new singer =S

  • re-read my comment. i did not say that bernard was singing the chorus. i said he was singing on some lay-over vocals.

i spent an half-hour with bernard and peter at the rosehill hotel kilkenny some years ago and they/we were discussing peter's monaco venture. peter remembered bernard murdering the bit peter ahd asked him to sing.

    so there. lol.

  • what a track, it's a feel-good one.

if you feel down. ahaha class.

  • oh i do feel happy again

  • isnt this song in trigger happy tv

  • yeah it was on the trigger happy tv sound track

    track 10 i believe haha

  • sidneyxda,

this isn't new order mate. this is a personal side-project that peter hook started up called 'Monaco'. Still, you can certainly tell of the new order influence esp. with bernard sumner doing some lay-over backing vocals.

  • That's not Bernard Sumner singing the chorus, but David Potts.

  • superb song!
