Comet Tempel 1 taken by Deep Impact Probe

I went out to the desert to watch this impact. I had only my eyes and was sure I would not see anything..but after learning the star maps and several hours of waiting/preparing I had Temple 1 in my sights. It looked like a little star, and right when the impact was supposed to happen I saw what looked like the comet/star take a little poop. lol Just a tiny yet noticable off shoot of light. I was so happy!!

I take this seriously.. This is cool but i hope they move Temple 1 from its orbit to hit earth... Lets all pray and call Bruce Willis haha joke.. but this is serious stuff dont laugh at this... it might happen again same as dinosaur wiped out in the face of the earth..

It didn't run over the probe. We aimed and smashed the probe into it. It was amazing that they predicted the comet density correctly.
