I have an 08 le cbr1000rr. They are great bikes. I ride with 2 friends that have a zx10r and a r1. The 3 of us have ran them on the interstate and no one pulled away from anyone. They are all amazing bikes. You can't go wrong buying any of them. It's all personal preference.
My 09 r1 would smoke that cbr and just to correct you ppl down there the r1 is the most technologicaly advanced production bike with 3 different engine power maping modes and the unevening fireing crossplane crank shaft suck it honda.

@1488skinxhead1 I've tried all 4 japanese literbikes where I live in switzerland, it means Euro specs bikes no regulation of power like in USA...your 09 R1 is the weakest by far, only got grunt in low RPM, but after 5000 rpm the gsx-r 1000 K9 and cbr 1000rr 08 are way stronger up to redline. And I don't even mention how heavy the R1 is compare to the CBR....
Should have got a kawasaki zx10r... because this is shit compared to a ninja... im on a 10r and they are a fuck load better than these.... better made... honda have gone really downhill compared to what they used to be.

Even Kawasaki themselves will admit it. Honda's quality and reliablility is far greater than Kawasaki's. The ZX is nothing more than a powerhouse, nothing more... Amazing bikes dont get me wrong tho.

@shin1300 lol most sports bike do not have a compartment for anything really under the drivers seat is where the battery is and under the rear passenger seat is a small compartment most people put a plastic bag with their registration and insurance card in it but just use a back pack while riding or get a sports touring bike some have little sattle bags you can put on the side you could get a tank pack its like a small back pack but straps to your gas tank.
I have the same exact bike but in silver and black. Overall its an amazing bike, i bought the akrapovic full exhaust system for it. powercommander (tuned) and the tag eliminator. runs great. never had any trouble.

Hello I have a big dilema.....I'm gonna buy a sport bike this going to be my firts bike but i can't decide on a yamaha honda or suzuki..and also like im a beginner so what motor should i get a 600 750 or 1000...i would like a 750....but i need an expert like you to take this decision..thank you very much...hope you can help me....
@tury10chivas Well most people start off with 600's or 750's... however if you plan on going fast, and racing around, i would just get 1000 and learn on that. and yes a 1000 is alot faster, but if you're careful enough, and take your time, you'll be fine. Almost every rider new or experienced that falls off their bike, fell because they were riding past their skill level, or other reasons... but not because the bike was a 1000.
@TheFlashNYC I don't think this is a good advice. Most "Beginners" have never ridden a bike before and therefore should learn and practice on a "beginner" bike (>=250cc), give them a 750cc or 1000cc for their first bike is deadly. Motorcycles are very enjoyable and exciting, however they are extremely unforgiving of inattention, carelessness or stupidity. Find and buy a beginner bike, search on forums and read articles for beginner. And please be knowledgeable before giving someone advice.
