The latter has a playful tone, and I don't think that Freddie would have done such difference between them. And secondly, because I doubt Freddie would have include two songs about his cats on one album; specially after Roger's complaint about putting "Delilah" on Innuendo.

I'm a long time Queen fan, and Freddie Mercury lover. This is the first time I've ever heard this song, and I love it! Freddie's incomparable vocals, and Brian's impeccable guitar skills. Queen is the PERFECT band!
@felipegutibu Freddie and Brian decided to make the song "inside-out," in the sense that it was instrumental in the parts verses would normally be, and it would have vocals in the section where guitar solos generally go. This could have been influenced by Pink Floyd. Mercury's driver confirmed that Freddie listened a lot of their music while he was in the car, and some of their pieces ("In The Flesh," "Is There Anybody Out There?") include the same structure.
It is Brian Mays guitar...the one he made himself. Its his playing and skill that makes him sound the way he does. He tries it seems, at times to emulate the sound of a cat. Its almost the way she slinks around...purring..nuzzling...chasing a mouse perhaps?
