The reason why real cranes are so expensive is because they are designed to carry much heavier cameras (and even a cameraman on it) so they require more and better materials, plus professional cranes are usually remote controlled rather than having 3 dudes trying to move the pieces at the rght time

On a smooth surface yes, but it was designed for use in the studio. And it can be easily disassembled into it's component pieces for transport.
