Crazily enough, fusion energy is becoming a real possibility, and doesn't have dangerous nuclear by-products like fission does. Ideally, I believe our money would be best spent on hydrogen fuel cell energy, it seems solar cells are rather polluting to manufacture and China already has the jump on us. Wind energy and linear induction generators would be another wise direction to pursue. We need to ditch all fossil fuels, not just foreign oil. Repower.org is one org pursuing alt energy.

Well this is the Problem.... We have been confused that we are fighting a war over oil... But actually, the war is for plastic. Conspiricy theorists have used quite a few reasons why the Pipe-Line from Middle East to China was Created, avoiding the obvious... China sells PLASTIC CRAP to the entire world.
