One major problem that you're missing is the problems of today are because of misguided military actions of a previous, not military inaction. For example, we might not be worried about Iran if the CIA didn't topple the Iranian democracy in 1953 and support a dictatorial Shah.

I mean the drone strikes that ended up killing a bunch of tribal leaders is an example of bad information. What do you think will happen when the elite interests aren't being satisfied in the US? Poor countries are poor because they are exploration territories, explored by a "center of power" witch is someplace else. The investors will just migrate their money to outside the US. One major problem that you're missing is the problems of today are because of misguided military actions of a previous, not military inaction. For example, we might not be worried about Iran if the CIA didn't topple the Iranian democracy in 1953 and support a dictatorial Shah.

We are number one trading partners, have a very large chinese population, etc. I even had to learn Mandarin at school. Our former prime minister could speak fluent mandarin. Why do you speak as if you've been there or are in the right place to say what is happening? Civilian casualties are a part of war. Admittedly there are soldiers that go off the deep-end, but to put our troops in a negative light to call them murderers is pretty pathetic. I agree 100% though that there are always those guys who completely lose it, they even turn on their own men and there are accounts of that happening of lower rank men turning on the CO's. It will really be interesting to see Ron Paul as US's next president. However, his policies will just piss off both a significant portion of the poor and the rich.
