i get what dyslexia is! especially since my dyslexic best friend is always asking how to spell stuff. and always asking me theese other questions. when her mind reads a word or does a math problem her brain mixes it up with a bunch of other things. like sometimes,3x3 comes out as 6.
So this must be the reason why I struggle with words, both in my mind and in speaking them. When I was 20, a heavy object "fell" on my head and delivered the entire force to the area that is being credited with giving us the ability to sound out words. I find myself, knowing what I want to say- but not being able most of the time. Even tho I'm learning a third language, I find it difficult to speak any one of them.
Okay, I'm slightly interested in the fact that, I've been suggested to do a Dyslexia test.
I'm a 17 year old A-Level Student, and this came up in my Further Maths class because I have a clear understanding of what we're leaning, but in two tests we have done as revision style things, I've not quite finished the test, not because I can't answer the questions but because I'm a slow writer. I just can't see how that has anything to do with Dyslexia.
@Ashda8 I'm 17 too. At my college they made us all do the test and people who were likely to be dyslexic had to have another test done. My point is you should get the test done anyway because I never though I'd have dyslexia but I do. It's not severe but it's there and they help you out and stuff.
If you have a poor, slow, handwriting it can be linked to dyslexia.
But for you to be diagnosed with dyslexia only on that case is not going to happen.
And if you write slowly but flawlessly there is no problem, there is no reason to get diagnosed then because the label will make it harder for you to do certain collages.
If you have any questions or want to see some sources just ask.
I feel so blessed to have a daughter with Dyslexia Everyday Anna amazes me with her talent and her way of seeing, but I have struggled so much with the fact that she is so smart but could not learn to read by the end of 3rd grade. All that changed when I discovered Dyslexia Games!
i rather be dyslexic then normal because i can always can study hard in school to get high grades like some of my normal friends but they cant study to be more creative like me in school, dyslexics and other ppl with so called learning disabilitys such as albert einstein helped shape this world with our out of the box thinking....
@greco0994 i'd rather be normal because at school i get called dum,b a lot but its not funny when people think its funny, im not creative either and i cant make things out of clothes and when i grow up i dont now what i can be cause i always get Cs and i cant remember 4 numbers at a time
@habbogirl62 my grade point average is a D i have more knowledge then any kid in my school and i am percieved as smart because of the deep conversations i start or contribute to one. im worser than you as far as grades and yet ppl see me as smart you dont have to have a high grade point average to be smart theres many A+ i get in arguements over and they dont even know what they're talking about. intelliguence is more than a letter grade

I'm currently working on a project about dyslexia.
my question is, Where is this information from.
from what I've seen most presentations are made up out of the likability of things.

This video makes it sound like dyslexia only affects words. There is soooo mush more to it than that.
