This is the orignal one.WoW so funny to see the 45rpm thats exactly the cover i had color and all never forget it. My problem is i forgot the title of the song on the back of the 45 if i do remember THE LARK'S only as i have ever known them did not make alot of songs as i remember i did see they ended up adding on to the group change of name ?? i dont remember that.I would like so much if anyone knew the title on the back of the 45 thanks Happy 2010
This song is. AWSOME:D Thank You sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much it took me forever to find it!! :DDDD <3 U FOREVERR!
Where can i find the jackson 5 version or cover of this song? The Jackson 5 Version is called the "soul jerk" But i want the same version from the movie JACKSON AN AMERICAN DREAM. Search it up as JACKSON AN AMERICAN DREAM PART 10 it's towards the end
Was this the first song that people did the Jerk to? Or just the first to write a song about the dance which already existed? A wonderful song. People were still mentioning The Jerk in 1967. Long live the Jerk!!
1964- someone came up with a move in LA and they was buzzing about it, a relative hipped Don Julian about it, he wrote a quick lyric cut and recorded it on MINT label. as fast as they released it was all over the country, making the dance the hottest since the twist in the early 60s. you still see forms of the jerk in some new free style dances.
Can anyone help me and tell me the name of the flip side of this 45 i cant remember but i do know its nice thanks all Happy2010

This is the same group that was known as the Meadowlarks in the mid-1950s and sang California do-wop ballads.

The Larks are from California. The Del Larks are from New Jersey. They are different groups.
