Hope you're still somewhere, laughing at all the lies, and still having more fun than anybody in the room. Things are beyond satire these days, but damn I miss your laugh, girl. Love, Linda
Molly Ivins' works are widely available--online, in book form, and audio books. Even though I've read and re-read her books, I have her audio books so as to keep her voice alive for me. Her work will be the kind of journalism that survives.
Wow, this is some fucking embarassing shit. You know that big peanut at the first part of the "ort" segment? Yeah, that's right down the road from my house. Burn...ouch...
Thanks Del boy, you make a good point. You're question is amusing, and I appreciate how you want to make my comment about you.
Fact of the matter is, this is a public video of a public representation of my town. I don't think I know anybody around here really enjoys it or thinks it's a fair representation.
It's more like this situation. If somebody saw you with your kid, and the kid was acting up in public and said "I feel bad for that kid's parents", wouldn't that suck? Exactly
she will be missed...thats for sure... ='(

I really, really wish Molly was still with us to lay down some truth about Occupy Wall St. I know she's loving it someplace better...

Texas "ort" - great piece, great lady...reminds me of a Texas gal saying, "Well my Daddy made his money in "awl" [oil]." :)

Molly and my mother both passed on some time ago. My mother sending Molly's columns up here to me in Ohio is one of the things I miss most.
The world is a better place for the wit Molly gave us.

Sigh...I saw this when it first aired back in 1986 and became an instant Molly Ivins fan. She was a national treasure. I miss her.

gotta love the pronounciation "ort" for art.
I absolutely love this woman, and I only heard of her after her death!
Ms. Ivans, you were "ort" all on your own!

I so loved Molly Ivins. She was great. She showed what a bunch of idiots the Texas state legislature was. Continually! I miss her so much.

Dear di.,
I'm just wondering, by what reasoning can someone feel embarressed by something that someone else is responsible for doing?
.
If you knew that someone farted in an elevator in Hokaido, would you be embarressed?
What if you had never seen the sculpture in your neighborhood, that you refer to -would that matter; would you still feel embarrassment?
.
Hope you can help me work this conundrum out.
cheers.

Dear st.,
Art is a name given to manifestations of creative expression, and the processes and philosophy by which these are produced or appreciated.
Creative Expression, other than the sexual act; creative expression implies that the activity is in place of sex-act experession.

Funny...but she could have showed some of the more serious "high" art in San Antonio, Houston, Dallas and Austin.
