@MrElliotpaige That may be true. But it's also true that Stan simply embraces his celebrity status more. He's on camera more. We know him more. We're more familiar and he remains active to his audience. Ditko declined to be filmed, photographed or interviewed for a BBC documentary that was all about him.
Happy Birthday Stan! I can only hope to be as vibrant as you are when I am 89. This man is living proof that staying creative doing something you love is the real fountain of youth.
When I was a kid, my favorite comics were DCs, but in my heart, I always kinda knew that Marvel could kick DCs butt if it had to. I used to read lots of the early Marvel paperback reprints from the public library. Spider Man's first few years, the Hulk's first six issues, and the day the Avengers fished Cap out of the ice. Happy Birthday, Stan. Excelsior right back at you, sir :)
