You have misunderstood: what you're talking about is war, but in Sudan the government is simply directing a genocide towards the non-arab population in Darfur, in order to wipe them out completely.

Charlir91, I'm sudanese and I witness first hand what is going on in sudan, and i'm telling you this whole genocide thing is untrue. Hundreds of tribes make up sudan, in darfur 'arab' and 'african' tribes are fighting over limited resources and in 2003 a war broke out between the two. However what you must understand that the only way you would be able to recognise the arab from the african, is in the language, they look alike in every single way... marrying amongst eachother!

This is good news for the people of Sudan in general and the victims of Darfur in particular. The vast majority of Sudanese like myself believe that this indictment should have brought against Al-bashir long ago. He's murdered million of innocent Sudanese and destroyed the country. I hope this indictment will send a clear message to many other dictators out there.

All because a small portion of the population in the south want their independence, Omar al-Bashir and the government-funded Janjaweed milita wage a genocide on the non-Arabic population in Darfur. I am very confused by this issue regarding President Omar Al-Bashir. I have heard many in the west and inside Sudan say that he is allowing genocide in Darfur, yet I have also heard him and many others say that he is not. Who then do I believe? I wish to side only with those who are telling the truth and I want justice to prevail in the lands. Insha'Allah we will be guided on the right way. Ameen.
