Did you mean that Ninja Gaiden had a bad story? I think the story was good, but poorly executed (story-wise that is). One major thing I lack in this game is the basic ability to block, which is wonderfully exaggerated in Ninja Gaiden. Also I can't understand why it's not possible to wall-run in this game. They defy gravity, logic and physics in this game, but can't run on the walls...

DMC is overall a wonderful game, but have a very high learning curve, and that might be negative in some cases.

the gameplay is horrible :(

the fighting is for super fans/nerds/addicts cuz i couldn't do succesfully more than 3 or 4 combos, the platforming is just Evil, the graphics are too plastic-like (a bit final fantasy ), the story is hipnotizing to make us feel that is epic but in reality only the soundtracks during cutscenes made it look epic, and i found myself using a trainer halfway thru the game cuz it was too fuckin difficult...

my score is 2/5 = bad game

since then i replayed it and actually enjoyed it a lot :D

the keyboard controlls are a little bit awkward and it doesn't really encourage rebinding because of the Combo keys always keep default... other than that, i learned to love it and im sorry i raged on it... but still some of my criticism on it still remains valid

Poeple always complain about the dice... I don't mind them, but if yo do, you can go through all the dice boards without any unnecessary fights if you note the pattern the dice moves in and strike at the right time *shrugs*

The best fucking moment in the game (apart from all its awesome cutscenes) is when the character cuts the dice in half (no spoilers, just saying)... seriously, i was so relieved!

@dotsydude I would say DMC4 is more challenging considering you start at the beginning of the damn mission if you can't finish the mission for whatever reason... which is the MOST annoying thing about it, although Ninja Gaiden 2 can be downright CHEAP as hell, I like it more, and it has so many more things to do... as far as difficulty though I think they are about even, gameplay in NG2 can be harder, but little things like saving in DMC4 ruined it for me.

The Dice Game sucks so much... Why can't they just throw us in different rooms with demons to kill or just take it out...

The maps are slightly confusing as you're forced to backtrack, and one playthrough with the story mode feels lik you are playing through the game twice, with Nero once and Dante once, but thats fine since the game's still awesome!!

I thought Devil May Cry 4 was a lackluster installment compared to the first and third game. The Devil Bringer for the most part you just used the buster ability and the snatch. That was about it. All of Nero's attacks with the buster were self animated and it made his gameplay extremely boring. He lacks variety as well as a distinctive character to make him stand out from Dante. In fact he's pretty much a Dante Wannabe. Not to mention that the story was also as bland as most action movies.

Actually yeah it does revolve around snatching and bustering. The Rev sword is a nice little feature but it still brings nothing new that we havent seen before. Dante can charge up his sword as well for an enhanced attack. Im not going to praise Nero and team DMC for adding something to a new character thats already been done. His only main features are snatch and bustering.

Pros:Highly improved combat, impressive Next-Gen visuals and cutscenes, epic boss encounters

DMC4 was a good game, but like you said, the dice minigames were kind of annoying, it sucks that we have to revisit the same levels again when play with Dante, and it was also kind of easy. I honestly think DMC3 is still the best one IMO.

A game desinger, a programmer to be precise, understand what has been encahced in the game engine, and thereby conclude that the engine of the third game was very much based on the enge of the previous one, dmc2.

When you compare the engine of the second, and first game, a programmer (such as my nieghbour) would notice that the first engine has almost nothing to do with the second and third.

Devil may cry 4 is actually my least favourite devil may cry game(without counting 2)

It's riddicously easy even on dante must die(first time I didn't have problems on this difficulty)

There're some bugs that makes some bosses pathetic

Nero has to dissapear, never liked him and his style is cheap(I wanted him to be a boss so I could pwn his ass)

DMC 3 and 1 are way better than this game but this game is better than 2(which is not saying much actually)

Yep.

The numbers always appear in the same order through the pattern, so you wait for the one before that you want, then as soon as it changes, buster it, and you can easily manipulate your way through dice levels, and even grab green/red orbs or whatever if you need it.
