i think its funny how generic current mmorpgs are... how many of them use the fat, heavy bearded drawf... at least this game looks like its going to set the standards for the rpg genre in comparison to what ffvii did for '97
What people don't seem to get is that this is a demonstration of a very early build of the game. Not only is it nowhere near the final product, but it's also being played by journalists, and people who have most likely never even touched the game before.
Since there is no auto attack means that these people have to actually manually attack these monsters, so if they're taking notes/receiving help from a booth attendant, they're going to stop what they're doing. Hence the gaps between attacks.
i hope this isnt like ffxi in that i pretty much used 2 abilities or weapon skills, and then watched in between, but i only got to level 49 so mayb i missed something
well think it gonna be pretty damn good big fan of ff11. i just hope they keep it as challenging and not make it easy like the lazy ass system of wow to keep the masses happy
The abilities are all manual. Interviews stated there will be absolutely no form of Auto-attack in this game. Gauges will be used to determine your accuracy or power, how much abilities you can use, and you will have a gauge for both hands. Its really cool if you check out some of the interviews.
hahaha the movement. but there is kinda no choice, unless you have a joystck

crap. i hope there's no damage abilities like in WoW. that'd pretty much ruin it for me. Then it all becomes a battle of the clicks, instead of wits

So sad, I was hoping for "Click abilities" not "Go afk and leave auto attack on".

what did people expect? Ninja Gaiden II combat? puleease. FFXIV's graphics would be as bad as Champions Online if it had action-RPG fighting.

Wow, it's like I'm really watching the same MMO everyone's played for the past ten years.
